What porn gives vs. what it takes from you in return?
by Cobalt

Porn does many things. Porn gives you temporary satisfaction. Porn can be your first foray into sexuality. Porn could theoretically give you ideas to try to implement into your actual sex life.

The majority of what porn actually gives you is negative, and the few positives being temporary and fleeting. Porn gives you the memories of what you've done, and the shame of how you may have hurt someone else because of it. Porn pollutes your mind in this way, remaining embedded firmly within your thoughts, regardless of whether or not you want them there.

Porn takes from you a few things. Let's do some basic math, just for kicks. Let's say Person X spent an hour and a half watching porn every night for a year. That would be 547.5 hours, so long as it isn't a leap year. That 547.5 divided by 24 comes out to 22.8125, which we'll just round off to 22.8. That's roughly one month out of the year with these numbers that was spent with porn instead of something else. These are also just hypothetical. Porn takes your time, infects your mind, can give you a lot of pain and depression when you realize you have a problem.

Porn gives you little, but takes a lot.
