Am a 31yr old male P/MB addict since my teenage years. I've come to realize and have known for some time that the quality of my life has suffered because of my addiction. I am unable to fully become the person that i know I can be and once aspired to be because of this addiction. I definitely have intimacy issues and know that it is becoming more serious the older I get. I feel if something isn't done soon, that I'll be destined to a life of lonliness and unrealized possibilities. I feel like I would be such a great person if it wasn't for the addiction. I hope to kick this p/mb and am seeking a sponsor to help me.

Default Seeking sponsorship - 08-10-2008, 10:26 PM
Hey all.

20 year old male seeking sponsorship if anyone has the time. I have had this addiction for 6 years or so and have managed a few weeks of sobriety in the past. Unfortunately, I have always relapsed and would very much like to make some progress toward kicking this habit.

I will be returning to college soon and would like to find someone who could check in via email once or twice a day and is unafraid to get tough/torment/curse me out in order to help me kick this problem.

I would prefer someone with some level of seniority or experience on this board, and am not picky when it comes to gender. Please send me a PM if interested.

I'd really just like to have someone to talk to who's going through this as well. I'm 22, I haven't quit P or MB, I feel I could moderate it better if I was accountable to someone else besides myself. I require nothing of you but an open mind. So please contact me if you want to talk. I'd really like that.

Pongostick is looking for an accountability partner. He is finding things difficult at the moment, and is looking for a male partner.

I'd be happy to be available for people to chat to if they like. I don't claim any particular expertise, but it always good to get another perspective from someone who is facing the same urges.

Default Looking For Sponsor - 09-03-2008, 12:33 PM
Boy am I tired of this. I have tried to quit countless times before with no success to speak of......

I'm tired of this addiction making my life less than what it could be.

I'd really like to have a male sponsor whom I could be accountable to.

Hey geno, what's up?

Yeah, it's definitely the "secret addiction." My wife and I have had frank talks about it but she thinks that "all men do it" (her late father struggled with it too) and that I don't do it anymore.

I am owning this problem as mine though and I'm going to do everything I can to defeat this.

I don't know exactly how this accountability thing works on here.

I wonder if you and I don't get any senior-type members to be our sponsors if we could just be accountable to each other?

I don't want to break any rules or step on anyone's toes here. I'm just anxious to get going.

Thanks for responding geno.....My best to you....
