      Lightbulb New Years Challenge

Just read through all the challenges over the last few months, and feel its a little repetitive. While I think its great, having a goal of "NOT TO RELAPSE" it is not the best challenge as this should be in effect your main objective.

So I thought lets shake it up a little!

So I would like to set a challenge from NOW to 31st January 2010

      The Challenge is:

Find 3 members in this forum who inspire you, and post in their journal and tell them why they inspire you, and how they have had an impact in your personal journey.

This challenge will get you thinking about you, and others, and telling someone how much they have inspired and helped you, would be a lovely new years gift wouldn't it?

Post under this thread to say youve joined this challenge, and then come back and edit your post, to list who were the 3 persons that you posted in their journal for this challenge.

      FM

My 3 members that have inspired me:

      1) Dominus : My thank you post
      2) Vorlan : My thank you post
      3) Daniel : My Thank you post
Last edited by FoolishMind; 12-31-2009 at 07:39 AM. Reason: updating my inspiration list

The world is in a constant conspiracy against the brave. It's the age-old struggle: the roar of the crowd on the one side, and the voice of your conscience on the other. - Douglas MacArthur

"'Thou mayest rule over sin,' Lee. That's it. I do not believe all men are destroyed. I can name you a dozen who were not, and they are the ones the world lives by. It is true of battles - only the winners are remembered. Surely most men are destroyed, but there are others who like pillars of fire guide frightened men through the darkness. 'Thou mayest!' What glory! It is true that we are weak and sick and quarrelsome, but if that is all we ever were we would, millenniums ago, have disappeared from the face of the earth. A few remnants of fossilised jawbone, some broken teeth in a strata of limestone, would be the only mark man would have left of his existance in the world. But the choice, Lee, the choice of winning!" - East of Eden by John Steinbeck

I will join the challenge. But what if my person doesn't have a journal. I am talking about Crisodian... shhh... don't tell her.

Here's my three. Thanks Vorlan for linking the first two, I hope you will help me out again.

      1. Crisodian in her visitors message page (Link)
      2. Foolishmind in his journal (Link)
      3. Hast in her journal (Link)

Three is really not enough. It unfair to limit it to three!

EDIT (Vorlan): Linked them for you :)

Okay, I barely made it on time (I have to leave the house right now!), but I messaged my 3 people! Here they are:

      1. artguy & Crisodian (No that's not cheating!!!)
      2. hast
      3. WifeOfNewLifeMan

Why only 3!?!?!? There are so many more... Oh well. Thanks again everyone!

Terrific idea FM. However, only 3 members is just totally unfair !
Almost every active member here, has inspired me in a different way. And I know this sounds absolutely cliche, but that really is the truth. Is it okay to list so many names here ? :P

I agree with you Castaway, every member here in some way can be inspirational, but im afraid a challenge is a challenge, and you have to pick the most significant 3, and give them the gift of letting them know how they have helped you.

Hey! I heard that! :D No. I don't have a journal. Maybe I should have started one? Oh well... C'est la vie. Thank you for the post on my page. It really means a lot.

Ok so my three...list first and then I will go post:
      1. Foolish Mind
      2. Pandora & Statler (no journal)
      3. Daniel

And I'm going to break the rules and add honorable mentions here: (seeing we can only pick THREE!) :P

Hast - She is an inspiration to all young women who are affected by this wicked addiction.
Mefree - For his sense of humor, blunt honesty, amazing level headedness, and fabulous one liners... "slowly rusting relatives" comes to mind....
Castaway16 - For his dedication to never giving up, ever.
Little Lock - For his blunt honesty and strength.
Cyberpunk - For his personal strength and sharing some very difficult challenges with everyone here.
WifeofNewLifeMan - For her growth, spirit, strength and concern for all SOs
dave42 - For sharing his very personal journey with us.
Vorlan - For his dedication to all at TTF, PA and SO alike

And all the SOs who find the courage to not only come here and share all the stories of what PA does to us, but to support all SOs and PAs here at TTF in their journey to recovery.

I could go on and on. Everyone here impacts and inspires others in so many many ways. Great challenge.

Ok, off to post in journals.
