      Lightbulb Site Suggestions 2011

We have previously announced at the begining of this year that TTF will be making a significant investment to upgrdade the forums as we really want to provide you with the very best platform we can.

This should improve security, speed, usability, and provide a lot more features.

As always we would always like to hear from you, as this is YOUR site. So tell us, what would you like to see, what do you not like so much, all suggestions are always taken on board. Sometimes suggestions will be acknowledged but not neccessarily adaopted as of course there are a number of factors that we have to consider before moving with a new idea.

So no matter how small or large your suggestion of idea is, We would love to hear about it.

To post a suggestion, you can either create a new thread or post within this one, alternatively if you do not want to publicly announce your suggestion, feel free to send a Private message to any member of the TTF team.

      Many Thanks & Kind Regards

you're gonna regret that invitation =))

      1. SO only forum for 'sensitive topics'. Could moderate who is allowed in there by their PA/SO setting within profiles.

      2. Browser compatibility issues - firefox doesn't love TTF, nor Chrome (the mood thing doesn't work).

      3. The chat thing is confusing ... I had no idea there was any other form of chat other than that little box up the top of the screen

      4. Make journals member-only read privileges.

      5. Make topic titles editable by users

      6. Less grey. :((

      That's all for now :)

I'd like to be able to put images in my posts sometimes. I realize this is something that could be disastrously abused by the unscrupulous, but the same potential for abuse already exists with the avatars we use.

Maybe the privilege of embedding images could be restricted to "senior members" and above, or something.

I'd also like there to be no limit on the number of smilies or other graphics in a post. I wanted to include smilies in the 100 Day Goal challenge, but couldn't do it because we're limited to only five.

And I'd like to be able to use some HTML code. For example, just today I wanted to refer to oxygen as "O2," and I'd like to have been able to use the HTML "sub" code to make the "2" a subscript.

I'd also like the ability to put more than one graphic in the signature.

Over at NPSupport they have a BB code called [Trigger]. You can enclose potentially triggering text within that code and it won't be displayed. Instead, you see a link that says "TRIGGER: AUTHOR HAS HIDDEN POTENTIALLY TRIGGERING TEXT. CLICK TO REVEAL." It'd be great if we had something like that, too.

I really like this idea, too. Thanks for posting it.

Me too, would be cool if we could also get a PMS one that hides PMS type rants :D

      LOL, that's pretty funny, Rosie!

How about a "View Your Posts" link? That way you can automatically see a list of all the threads in which you've ever posted, in descending order by date, starting with most recent. We all have our favorites, and that makes it easier to find those.

Also is it possible to make it easier to figure out who is an RA/PA/SA and who is a partner? Is there a way to make this part of the signature for each member?

How about somehow linking together who the couples here are as a part of the signature? Somehow designating who is partnered with whom?

Forgive me if any of these features already exist, but being both new here and technologically-challenged...I may not yet be aware! So please feel free to enlighten me if that is the case!

You can do that by visiting your profile, then going to "show all statistics" to the right side of the screen, under mini-statistics, and then click "Find all posts by [user]". It will show you all the posts you have made.

Additionally, you can quickly see what threads you have subscribed too, including threads you have posted in, by using the Quick Links pull down menu and selecting Subscribed Threads.

Also is it possible to make it easier to figure out who is an RA/PA/SA and who is a partner? Is there a way to make this part of the signature for each member?
Right now, the only way to identify who is a PA/SO is for them to select that information in their profile or share it in the forums. Because that identifier is optional, there is no way to put an identifier on a profile unless someone chooses to share that information.

How about somehow linking together who the couples here are as a part of the signature? Somehow designating who is partnered with whom?
You can find a thread with all the current couples listed here:
