Announcement: Monthly writing challenge! -
05-10-2008, 05:27 AM
For the next few months, we will be starting a new contest here at TTF.org. called the "Monthly writing challenge"!
Every month, we will have a new topic for those interested to write about. What we are looking to do is twofold:
1) Help members to concentrate and really put their thoughts on paper to help themselves.
2) To create useful content that will help new visitors to the site. The best writing work will be posted in the articles section of the site, to be viewed by thousands of visitors each month. You can play a big part in helping them in their recovery!
We will announce the topic at the beginning of each month. You have till the end of the month to prepare your entry. When you are done, send us your work via private message (PM). Send your PM's to the Admin.
The admin and moderator staff will then review the articles and vote for their favorites.
The winner of each month's article competition will receive a free Amazon.com gift card worth $50.00. and will be featured on the articles section of the site. Runners up, and all submissions will be posted after the winner is announced.
We will be judging for creativity, originality, sincerity, and practicality of the content of the articles.
Here is May's topic. If you have any questions, please use this thread to ask them. If you are intereted in participating, please reply to this thread and let us know if "you're in."
Regarding form and style of the writing, it's completely up to you. It can be formal, factual, fictional, first person, third person, anything you can imagine. PA's and their SO's are all welcome to submit entries. And the topic is:
"How does porn influence our ideas about sexuality and the opposite sex?"
Love is the rhythm of two hearts beating
Poundin' out a message steady and true
Talk to me baby tell me what you're feelin'
I know what love is
What's it to you
Cmperry, It's open to everyone who is a member of the site! In fact, the more points of view we can get on the same topic, the better. It would be great to have a cross section of people submit their thoughts on the topic.
Thanks for your submission cmperry. We're looking forward to sharing this with everyone at the end of the month.
To all members, please consider participating if you haven't thought about it already! This is a great way to put your thoughts on paper and crystallize your feelings on the topic, helping yourself and others who will read your ideas!
Let me reiterate what FM is saying and encourage everyone to participate. The more points of view we get on the topic the better, regardless of age, race, ideology or sexual orientation. A wide cross section of different points of view will be most helpful!
