Misuse of TTF Services

We will shortly be updating the site rules, following a recent incident that we thought would not be possible in our community. Sadly I was mistaken, and thus I am now required to clarify the use of our services.

Throughtheflame.org is built, maintained and lead by a team of recovering PA's and SO's. Through our own experience, time, money and generous member donations from yourself, we are able to enhance our offering, and provide such tools as instant messaging and group chat.

We work very hard to maintain a site that provides a calm feel and free from temptation.

Sadly a few members have used our chat system in a totally inappropriate manner with topics in total contradiction to what TTF is about.

We would like to remind all members that part of the recovery process is about rebuilding trust, based on your actions. The administrators of the site have the ability to monitor all content on this site, but through trust rarely check chat logs unless an automated alert signals us or a member of the community advises us of wrong doing.

We have also had a second instance of a member using dual identities. This is also a clear breach in rules, and again contradicts the ethos of the site, about transparency and openness. If you know of any members that are using a second TTF identity, you must report it to a member of the TTF Team, as once found, anyone knowing, will also be suspended.

If anyone has any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me. Although please appreciate I will not specify any further detail about the specific incidents mentioned above.
