Dear TTF'ers

General Update

Over the last few weeks I have received a number of message from members advising me the donation system was not functioning correctly, Please accept my apologies for the inconvenience and delay in resolve. The donation system is now live, and can be access from the main front page, or from the main forums, from the side widget (just click on the little piggy bank).

The arcade has proved to be stable, and therefore have now loaded an array of games, and more will be added in due course.

Current Key Issues:

1. Chatroom - I am very much aware of the frustration the current chatroom is causing, and sadly, we are simply not getting the support from the third party solution provider, and nor do we have the technical ability to find a resolve.

What I have conluded is that the current chatroom clearly has not been tested fully for the latest version of this forum software. Sadly there is very little else on the market that we can integrate into this site for the same price. Currently, since upgrading, our costs have virtually doubled, and as promised we would not advertise on the site and hence are very much dependent on your generous donations. I do acknowledge the chatroom is a fairly high priority, but appreciate your patience until we find the best and most viable solution.

2. Layout of site - Some members have display issues with the new layout, but are also not comfortable with the alternate we provided. There are two options to resolve this:

(a) remove all borders, so the forum will be from end to end of the screen, much like the default layout.

(b) Significantly reduce the amount of menu options.

I would be keen to hear what the majority prefer, and exactly how many members are having problems with the display.

As per usual, if there are any other issues you are experiencing, or need assistance with, please do not hesitate to send a message to any member of the TTF team, or simply create a post in the Help forum.

For me the new layout is unusable because of the word-wrap problem. However, I think the default layout is quite attractive, and I don't mind using it. My only complaint right now is that the drop-down menu choices (New Posts, Private Messages, FAQ, Calendar, etc.) don't appear on the search results page.

I'm sure this is very hard work for you, and I appreciate all the effort you go to to give us a wonderful site!
