Delays in New Registrations to TTF

To all those wishing to register with Throughtheflame, we are currently a little short staffed and therefore there is a slightly longer than usual wait to gain acceptance.

If you have account request has been rejected, please RE-REGISTER again and approve the email verification email that you will receive. After that, email admin2@throughtheflame.org stating your username and email address used to register, this will help speed up your account activation.

Admin2, is there a way we could create a welcome committee of sorts? If we had several users sign up to be "greeters" to new members and welcome them to TTF would that take some of the load off of you guys?

I would be willing to check TTF daily for new users in the introduction area and I know Phil and In Need Of Help also already do that to an Epic extent, but perhaps if we had a list of many users willing to do this we could rotate through the list so we dont tire anyone out as a "greeter". We could take shifts...

Just a thought. I hope this will help.

Thank Yechezkel we have experimented with Community Greeters in the past, but we decided to scrap the idea as it was going against the grain of natural greeting, and become some what robotic. From what I have seen over the years virtually everyone is welcomed to the site by someone, and that shows the true spirit and warmth at TTF as a whole community.

Our current short staffing is only very temporary, and we will be back to full strength very soon. But once again, thank you very much for thinking of ways to help.
