New Forum Features!

I'd like to introduce you guys to four new forum features that we added today!

My Mood
Post your mood, let others know how you are feeling at the moment.

Karma
Karma allows you to rate the quality of a member. If someone is being extra helpful, give them a good karma rating. If someone is posting less helpful things or is being hard to deal with, give them negative karma.

Thanks
Thank someone for their post without adding a post to the thread. Let a poster know their comments were useful by adding your thanks!

Arcade
We are still working on this one, you will be able to play some games here if you are feeling like you need a distraction but a healthy and safe one

Thanks for that - noticed the changes earlier and wondered how long they'd been there...didn't think I was being too unobservant, so glad to know they are recent!
Here's a question for you though (and my apologies if there's a stupidly obvious answer that I've somehow missed)...how do I change the "my mood" setting? If I click on the "change mood" link it only shows me the option (if you can call it that!) of No Mood. Erm, what have I missed?! :D

On the "grey menu bar" where you see "User CP FAQ Member List Calendar Arcade New Posts Search Quick Links Log Out and My Mood," click on "My Mood" and there should be a dropdown list of things to choose from.

If this doesn't work, please let us know what browser you are using so we can try to troubleshoot it.

The arcade should be working now for all members. Let us know if you can't get it to work...

Yup, that's what I tried to do before, but no joy then and no joy now I'm using Safari...could well be that this is the issue!

Sorry to hear it is still not working. Since we don't have a mac here, there is no way for us to test safari. But if you are using a mac you could try another browser, like firefox (which is an excellent browser).

Is there anyone else out there who can confirm this feature doesn't work in safari?

Hey look, it works in firefox! I'll remember that if/when I want to put a different mood on, thanks :)
(Macs are a bit foreign to me, too..I only use them because that's what my husband uses and thus had when we got married!)

Also...is it just me that has Tetris crash on them at the end of each game? - happens in both Firefox and Safari and has happened every time since I played the first time. (That's possibly a good thing, mind you, as I may have to request a thread be set up for overcoming tetris addiction if it were working properly...now I remember where so many teenage hours were lost!!! BUT it would still be nice to not lose everything as soon as the game ends).

And lastly, and completely off-topic: my husband signed up on this site, but forgot to put me down as his referrer. I'm sure it's not anywhere near end-of-the-world stuff, but if there's a way to remedy this it may be useful for your record keeping. His user name is <smock>

Love the new arcade layout! and tournament facility.

BUT...I cant play any games, it says cannot play this game because of the usergroup im in! HEEEELP

We just switched from v3Aracade to ibpProArcade, which seems to have more games and better options. You should be able to play now...we will be adding some more games shortly :)

They have options in this software to require a minimum number of posts a day before you can play, it's turned off right now...what do you guys think? It also has the ability to limit the number of times you can play a day...
