Lightbulb Site Suggestions? - 01-10-2008, 05:46 PM
If you have any suggestions, for the website or the forum, please use this thread to post them. We are working hard to make this site a great resource for people struggling with PA, and would love to hear your feedback. We've seen a lot of new members join lately and would like to welcome you all here.

Thanks,

Admin.

This site is a fantastic resource, due to its simplicity and calming feel. It is an embarressing enough issue to be labelled a PA, but one suggestion i would like to make is to remove the 'support for addiction' from the title bar in the browser. As i generally use my work laptop find it hard when i minimise can still see it at times. That why i wouldnt even visit the no-pron site.

Sounds silly in away that i didnt feel silly to actually go to p sites though!

I completely understand where you are coming from here. I removed the title bar tagline, which was mostly there to help get listed higher in the search engines. I think this will make everyone feel a little more comfortable having the site up when they are not alone.

The main site still has the old title bar line, but I'm assuming once you visit the site, you are mainly on the forums, so I was planning on leaving that as is.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Lightbulb Off topic forum? - 01-11-2008, 05:55 PM
Is anyone interested in having an "off topic" forum where they can talk about other things not related to the site? This can easily be added if you guys think you would want/use it.

Another suggestion - dont know if its already there and I cant see it, but would be good if you can rate or add a vote to a post. Then on the front of the home page you can see 'Top Quality Posts' TQP these will always stand out as good reads for guests and new joiners.

Hey Mind, you can already do this. When you are viewing a thread, look at the top bar. It says "rate thread." You can only vote once. When you are browsing the list of threads, you can click on "rating" and it will sort them by highest to lowest ratings. Same if you click views, etc. Let me know if this doesn't make sense, I'll try to explain better.

Light, FoolishMind, you guys might be interested in some new features we are adding. You can now see the top posters for the month, and the top threads for the month (based on replies). Currently it is implemented on http://www.throughtheflame.org/

But we will be moving it to the /forum page as well.

Maybe soon we can start a reward system for top posters of the month, what do you guys think?

I really like the top posts and top threads. Thanks. In terms of rewards for top posters, i probably wasnt communicating effectivley, but if there is a way to add your vote to an individual post, that a single post can be rated as a top quality posting. That way you are maintaining good quality as oposed to quantity? Tell me if im not making sense?
