Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has gone through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet was without sin. Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
Hebrews 4:14-16
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

One of my favourites: Psalms 37:4-6 - "Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give the the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him, and he shall bring it to pass. And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light..."
One thing I'm working on right now is learning to "delight in the Lord" all the time instead of thinking about things that will get me into trouble. The scriptures are full of promises from God. This one says that if we delight in Him and commit to Him, our good desires will become reality and we will be able to change and progress.
I love the part about "bringing forth righteousness." I feel like I'm a good person, but I have an addiction. It helps to know that as I rely on the Lord, He will bring out the best in me.

For He Himself knows our frame; He is mindful that we are but dust. Ps 103:14
In other words, God knows I'm human, finite, and limited. This helps me to be less hard on myself, and helps me picture God as approachable and understanding (rather than an unreasonable, perfectionistic ogre).

One of my favorites for many years. If only I would rely on it more
