All members are required to read and follow the rules below before using the site.

Failure to follow these rules may result in your message content being edited or removed without warning, and may result in disciplinary action, up to and including permanent banning.

While we try to avoid censorship as much as possible, our primary goal is to create an environment that is safe and nurturing for PA's and SO's alike. Message content that conflicts with this goal will be edited or removed without warning.

Our moderators and staff are focussed on maintaining this site as a calm, helpful and informative place. You will usually be alerted if you are in breach of any rules, but due to increasing work levels this may not always be possible. If you ever have any questions about the rules, please do not hesitate to contact any member of the TTF Team.

Please also note this site contains content that may not be suitable for persons under 18 years of age, While we acknowledge that persons under 18 can be affected by this addiction, we reserve the right to ban anyone that is underage from specific forums if those forums are deemed unsuitable for them.

1 - MEMBER PROFILE

(1.1) For privacy and security your username must not be the same as your email address or your full name.

(1.2) You will be required to change your username if it is deemed to be offensive, provocative or potentially triggering.

(1.3) Your username may not be the name of a living person or a name likely to be confused with that of a living person.

(1.4) For your avatar, do not use an image of a human being. This prohibition includes both photographic and artistic depictions (e.g., cartoon or anime characters). Exceptions to this rule will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Any member desiring such exception must submit the proposed avatar to the TTF team for consideration. In no case will a potentially triggering image be permitted. Images that are deemed to be unsuitable will be removed.

(1.5) In your albums, do not include any image that could reasonably be foreseen to be a trigger for other members. Images that are deemed to be unsuitable will be removed.

(1.6) Do not link to sites outside TTF in your signature, or advertise any kind of product or service. Failure to follow this rule will result in editing of your signature without warning.

(1.7) "Tickerfactory" images in your signature are acceptable, per se, but must be approved by a moderator or admin first.

2 - MESSAGE CONTENT

(2.1) Do not post spam of any kind. All spam will be deleted without warning, and members who post spam will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including permanent banning.

(2.2) Do not discuss child pornography. If you need help with this issue then your situation is beyond the scope of this board. Please get help immediately. Any discussion of such material will be reported.

(2.3) This is an anti-pornography board. Posts advocating or defending pornography in any way are not permitted.

(2.4) Messages posted to this board must be polite, respectful, and free of personal attacks, threats, harassment, name-calling, rude comments and/or innuendo. Messages deemed to violate the desired spirit of discourse on this board will be edited or removed at the discretion of the TTF team.

(2.5) Blasphemy and/or excessive profanity is not permitted.

(2.6) Do not mention specific names of pornographic sites, films or magazines. This also applies to borderline media which may be triggering to some members.

(2.7) Do not mention specific types or genres of pornography. The mere mention of such things may be triggering to some members.

(2.8) Do not mention or describe specific sexual acts. The mere mention of such things may be triggering to some members.

(2.9) Do not mention or describe body parts in a way that could reasonably be foreseen to be a trigger for other members.

(2.10) Any post deemed to be potentially triggering for other members or to contain material deemed detrimental to the recovery of other members will be removed, in whole or in part, at the discretion of the TTF team.

(2.11) It has become common practice to use the abbreviation "P" to refer to the word "porn," and "MB" to refer to the word "masturbation." This usage is encouraged, but not required. However, be aware that some filtering software will block web pages that include those words, so if you choose to use them, some users may not be able to read your post.

(2.12) Do not link to external sites without the prior approval of a moderator or admin.

(2.13) Do not post any image that could reasonably be foreseen to be a trigger for other members. Images that are deemed to be unsuitable will be removed.

(2.14) Religious content is permitted, especially within your own journal.

(2.15) Do not denigrate, mock or insult the religious beliefs, or lack thereof, of other members.

(2.16) Do not be overly aggressive in promoting your own religious beliefs.

(2.17) Threads of a specifically religious nature should be posted in the Religious section.

3 - PRIVATE MESSAGING

(3.1) If you have something to say to a member that is not of general interest to the board, use the private messaging system.

(3.2) Inappropriate or harassing private messages are not permitted.

(3.3) Do not post others’ private messages unless they give you permission to do so.

4 - DISCIPLINARY ACTION

(4.1) The interpretation and enforcement of all board rules will be at the discretion of the TTF team.

(4.2) Reports of infractions of these rules should be submitted to the moderators by the "Report Post" feature. Just click the square pink icon in the upper right-hand corner of the offending post.

(4.3) Material that violates the rules may be edited or deleted without warning.

(4.4) Decisions by the moderators can be discussed with the moderators via private messaging but not on the board itself.

(4.6) Members who violate the board rules are subject to disciplinary action. Offending members will receive a formal warning, and then on the second warning, they will be banned from the site. The severity of the ban depends on their actions on the site. There are 3 levels:

1 month for minor infractions. (You are causing trouble but it's obvious you have redeeming qualities)

3 months for more serious offenses. (You are a constant annoyance to other members and offer little constructive advice)

Permanent ban for major offenses. (You stepped over the line and don't belong here, you were posting inappropriate material, links, images, or were maliciously upsetting other members)
