      Default Jimmy 78's Recovery Journal

      Hi all,

      Well, here goes my first entry... and let me start by saying that this is DAY 1 of a positive an hopeful attempt of fighting my PA. I'd posted in a new members section a few days back for the first time... I've since relapsed once but I am not going to let it kick me down. I went a good while before yesterday, and since this is my first journal entry, I am considering today a new start! . I find that being tired and bored fuels my drive to go look for the P. Last night, my wife has fallen asleep on the couch so there I was... alone, late, and bored... if anyone has any tips on how to fight those elements, please share. Thankfully, I find that when i am preoccupied, P isn't really a thought in my mind. I'll be back soon and will be sure to update you with my progress.

      Day one accomplished! :) I am tired and surprisingly don't have to the urge to click over to the dark side... this is usually when I am at my weakest, so I consider this a big feat.Coming here to post instead has really helped.... I hate to sound like a broken record, but this site has been a blessing.

      Hey jimmy, since I have not yet done this, I would like to welcome you to the forums. also I want to say good job on accomplishing a day, it takes a lot to get through this, and your showing the strength to be able to do it. Remember, if ever you do slip up, take a step back and look at how many days you have accomplished, 1 porn free day is worth 100 not porn free days ;). Keep looking forward and keep trying.

      One word . . . Velcro :P.

      Trust me, I've had my fair share of "slip ups" In fact I'm just starting to make my comeback from falling off my "horse". However, I plan on using some heavy duty Velcro to keep myself on this time.

      Ok... Day 2 of PMS!!! (P and Mb Sobriety)... and man, does it feel good! :) Although, right now I do feel the ol' familiar urge coming on. So, in taking the advice of Cobalt (and everyone else), I am writing here on this site instead... and I must say it's really helping. This is a test... the wife is not home, and I'm all alone in quiet house... I think I am going to go clean the garage now. :) It'd probably be the best idea to get off the computer entirely because I know where this will go.

      I'll be back!

      Hang in there man! You will start to see and feel new things happen in your life as long as you hang in there! At least that's how it works for me. Also remember that the cravings for p are worst the first week or two so when you start over you will have to go through worse cravings. Stay strong until it gets easier! :)
