Congrats on the 15 days as well!

Sounds like things are going pretty well and easily right now, so now might be a good time to consider some strategies for countering your triggers if and when things get stressful again.

Thanks to both of you!

And that is a good idea Rwolf. I've been thinking a bit. And I wonder if it's a good idea to take a long walk, those night where I can't sleep, instead of sitting on my computer...!

Hi Dane,

That sounds like a good idea - just continuing to sit there is a trigger for me. Physical movement is a good way to break the trance, especially if you do something to get back into a way of feeling what your body might be telling you in the present moment.

It reminds me of a story a time management writer tells of setting appropriately sized goals - A man wanted to get fit and and had decided to go running each morning. The achievable goal he set was to be outside the front door each morning with running kit on - some mornings with weather / fitness etc. he couldn't run. But he could keep to the goal of being ready to run.

Maybe a good goal would be to walk at least to the garden gate....

Nice work on the 15 days. And when I say you're a very positive person, I mean it. It's amazing how you managed to keep a strong front despite your relapsed 15 days ago(hopefully its 16 by now, but I don't want to make assumptions). Stay strong

Thank you guys! And yes, it is very important to have achievable goals! I don't think that the last time I had a relapse will be my very last. I know it will happen again, but look at the progress I've made! I've now been 20 days sober
I mb'd to p SO MUCH LESS and it've taked so SO MUCH LESS of my time than it used to! And this is a huge change in my life.

I'm so glad to hear that my positivity can help others. I really think if you've got a positive mind, you can accomplish so much more than if you are norrow minded. Don't get caught up with the problems and obstacles on your road, but focus on what's building you! Focus on your SUCCESS! A day for me, without p, is a success. A week, is even a bigger success!

I'm so glad I found this forum. It've helped me so much and I'm gonna keep righting here in my journal for shure. Even tho I'm having problems with my motivation these days, I am accomplishing more that I thought I'd ever be able to do!

Thanks guys!

Good for you Dane! Make sure you treat yourself. On my first major milestone, I made sure I bought myself something, or got a fancy meal. Youve put in a lot of effort, so make sure you reap the rewards.

Well done, it always make me smile to read something so positive.

FM

Pjuh, that was close!

I can't sleep now, so I'm sitting here on my computer (I know that's a bad idea) and I suddenly got this big urge for mb to p.
I allmost did it, really really almost, but I didn't!

So close... So close, but still sober!
