      Default Shawn's Journal

Just starting this Journal for myself. I'm excited about keeping a journal about my experiences and what I have learned so far in my journey.

I attribute my PA to stress and depression in my life. I'm working on several things to reduce stress and depression in my life including working out and getting out of debt. I also am trying to be more social which I believe is a great thing. 95% of my relapses have occurred at night so I have made a promise to always go to bed with my wife each night which is always the right decision!

When I get depressed I look for ways to deal with it by working out, spending time with my family, etc. I also believe a balanced life is key to recovery. I have gone 6-9 months without relapse in the past few years but lately it's been more like 2-3 months and I'm worried if I don't work on it it will be more and more of a problem in my life.

I have confided in my wife about my problem and am so thankful she decided to stay with me and is helping me through my crazy life! She is the most forgiving person I know and don't deserve her in my life. I'm hoping to earn back her trust some day.

I'm excited about the 100 day challenge in the forums. I am impressed with those guys who are 505 days clean! keep it up guys! I'm next!

Well that is it for my intro...I'll post more as the days go by.
