      helpmeplz,

Hello and welcome to TTF. Glad you are here.

There is a lot of good info on the site. Please check out the articles and read some of the journals (PA and SO). You will get support from the members here. One thing that really helped me out is to post in my journal every day. The feedback is awesome.

Wishing you the very best in your recovery.

Yet each struggle, each defeat, sharpens your skills and strengths, your courage and your endurance, your ability and your confidence and thus each obstacle is a comrade-in-arms forcing you to become better..... or quit. Each rebuff is an opportunity to move forward; turn away from them,...avoid them, and you throw away your future." -Og Mandino

Good to see you again. Do all you can to read our experiences and to post yours. You will find, like so many others will tell you, that it is theraputic and helps release the tensions that withdrawal bring on.

I am not very far ahead of you in this process, but I urge you to stay strong. The first step is the hard one and you have made it. You are always welcome to bring your difficulties here. We know and we will support you to Curse The Beast.

      Welcome to TTF
It is always encouraging to see that others wants help with there addiction. This is the best place to come to in order to get help, But you need to understand, that this addiction, is the hardest addiction to beat. It is around us all the time, no matter where we go, there are trigger in front of us.

If it is IN your heart to rid yourself from this, then it can be done. We need to make sure, that we have gotten rid of anything that we used for our porn habit. make sure that you have no files still on your computer that you can get to that contains any unwanted and triggering materials. As you will see here, there is a lot of talk about a filter. If you do not have one, I would encourage you to put one on your computer, so you can not get to those websites.

Do what you can to protect your heart from this addiction. If we allow thoughts to go to our heart, then for sure we will act out in a way that we dont want to.
Come here as much as you can, and write here in your journal. By doing so, if you tells us how you are doing, or that your are struggling, this will let us see how we may be able to help you.

We are all in this thing together, and we are all here to just help one another get through the many tough times we are going to have

I wish you the best my friend in your recovery. I will keep checking in on you to see how you are doing

I Encourage all who think they need it, to please give SAA meetings a chance.

Do you have a internet filter installed on your computer yet?
If not, use K9 it is free, wont cost you a dime. not only will you save money, but you will save yourself from acting out.... Just a thought

      Default About me ..

well, I would like to say a few things about me, Since i haven't really said anything since i started a couple of days ago, and i'm not sure where to start, so..
Hi, i'm a PA , I'm 19 , 20 in about a month, and I go to college, I'm a Pharmacy Student, a sophomore , Single, i'm interested in music mostly, don't really have a hoppy, just hanging out with friends and stuff..
I know I have a problem, I realized that about a couple of months ago, maybe more.., and I've beent trying to stop ever since, but I keep on slipping, hopefully not anymore , I think I first started watching P when I was 14 or 15, and it wasn't as excessive as it became later, but that where it all began, I think it became a problem a couple of years ago, when I started college, I was away from home, with a lot of bad influence around me, and no girlfriend ( which a Problem I'm still facing !), and the guys won't judge you...
what makes me want to stop is knowing that it affects me, socially, physically, and more importantly , Psychologically ..
I'm so sick of feeling ashamed all the time and guilty, and feeling low all the time, like I hate myself, and Idon't deserve anything good happening yo me.. feeling miserable all the time !
but, whenever I try to quit, I feel better, I know I can beat this, it's just harder thatn I thought, but I'll do the best I can !
