      Default No Porn 3.0

Why 3.0? It's the third time I am quitting P. The first time I made it to 90 days with no P or MB. The feeling I had was sensational. My relationship with my wife flourished. I broke down when several personal crises hit me at the same time. The second time I decided MB was okay. Cruised along made it to about 2 months then failed horribly. Way too much MB. my lessons learned so far? I have to stop both mB and P at the same time. I cannot separate the two. Even tho I involved my wife much more the second time, I assumed that when she stopped asking me about progress, that she didn't care. So whether she wants updates or not, she is going to get verbal and email updates 2x per week. Lastly, I have to follow thru and get filters on every device I own - iPad, laptop, desk top, itouch. That is THE plan. I cannot do this alone but its me and me alone that needs to be accountable for my actions. No excuses.

Hello HG and welcome to TTF,

Glad you are here. This is a great forum. I would advise you to check out some of the journals here - there is a lot of good info from other PA's going through the same struggles, and from SO's dealing with their own recovery.

You can start your own journal. When you do, you will get some great feedback from other members.

You are right, we can't do this alone. Getting help and support is vital to successful recovery.

      Best wishes to you.
      -Mell

      Welcome Holygrail!
I am glad you found your way to TTF! There are many wise members here who can relate to what you are going through. They will be able to support and encourage you through this difficult time in your life.
TTF has been a lifeline to my H and I! I am so thankful to have found this site. We have been here for about 8 months now.
I am glad you have experienced the joy of being Pfree, even though you have fallen back. That is good because you know that what you are striving for is so worth it!
I would like to invite your wife to join us as well. She will need support and healing as well. There are many supportive, kind SOs here who would rally around her at this time. I hope you will let her know that.
All the best HG! I know others will be welcoming and encouraging you as well.
I invite you to start a journal in the recovering journal section and to read, read, read! You have picked an awesome resource for yourself! Use it often!
      All the best!

well i am at 7 days. today felt a little weak as i thought about MBing, but i know from previous experience that i need month after month of no P and no MB to be successful. I hope to make love with my wife this weekend as its been some time. she and I still need to talk about my attempt to quit porn. she knows but hasn't said anything to me. we have gotten along great lately and she is a very loving person. she know i've struggled but part of me wants her to be angry at me which she doesn't seem to be. I know she loves me but after struggling with porn for some time, I hope she hasn't given up on me.
