      Welcome Modomodo,

It sounds like you are already committed to getting and staying P/Mb free. That's a great first step.

There are a lot of good strategies here on TTF for kicking it for good. The first thing you can look into is putting a filter, like K9, on your computer. Some here have stored the password away from their computer, like in a safety deposit box, or with a trusted friend who will make you accountable, so that it takes great effort to access p*rn sites.

Keeping your computer use out in the open can help, as well as staying off line when you are tired, or depressed, when your defenses are more likely to be compromised.

Use your computer with purpose. Avoid mindless surfing out of boredom. It's a sure fire way of wandering to the wrong sites. Set a timer so that you are aware of just how much time online. The ding of the timer may be enough of a warning to get up and leave your computer before you're tempted to relapse.

Some find that physical exercise helps to lower the urge. It also releases endorphins, which make you feel good, without the guilt and feeling of failure afterward.

Check out the other PA's journals. We all are learning from each others successes and mistakes, and most of us are more than willing to share.

      Keep on fighting,
      Boris

      Default Thanks Alot Boris!

I have actually being implementing some of the strategies mentioned, such as an internet filter; Open Dns because it is more effective without errors of adverts. And i totally agree on the sports, i usually don't feel the tempt as much and go to bed rested. I am trying the use of my computer with a purpose and i also recommend candeo podcasts which help alot in understanding PA and MB.My greatest issue is goin the last mile and quitting completely. It reduced to around thrice a week and moving on to twice and so on. Any advice? I was thinking of a challenge to psych me up or using gaming to throw a curve ball. The other issue is that PA & MB usually occupies my mind a lot especially when thinking about homework. Any tips for strategies of avoiding this? And how do i tell my parent to move the comp. I have tried explaining to them that i reaaly wnat to and NEED to move IT! But they are not bothered or concerned they keep postponing it! Any Ieas on the issues mentioned? Anything will be of great help
