Dominus,
You are such an encouragement to me. I really appreciate you even though I have been a part of this forum for only a short time.

I am also beginning to feel that way about the rest of the members on this forum as well.

I start my day by visiting here and it has strengthened my recovery a lot.

76 days is a huge accomplishment Dominus, congratulations. I myself am sitting pretty on about 68 or 69 ( think, that is if my math is correct, which sometimes its not lol). I know what its like, I know the pain, the temptation that you go through in trying to succeed, trying to not let yourself, your friends, and those rooting for you down. However, even though your a head of me, theres a little advice I would like to give you.

Don't try to not let yourself, your friends, and those rooting for you down:
Try to succeed

Don't worry about slipping up:
look forward to getting stronger

Don't look back:
only look forward

And my favorite of all:
When the devil reminds you of your past . . . remind him of his future.

One of the main reasons people slip up time and time again is because they look back. They see the tendency to slip up, they see themselves slipping up over and over again. When you look back, all you see is failure. When someone is trying to succeed, failure makes them loose confidence, it makes them loose the want to try. You need to want to succeed, so don't look back.

I feel like a really grumpy git today. Yesterday afternoon i saw something whilst I was out that really triggered something in me, I won't go into details to avoid being discouraging. anyhow I started having massive urges to go and view porn again, really strong temptations and flashbacks, it was pretty discouraging really. I told my wife about it immediately and she was encouraging, and the feelings went away after a bit. But again today I feel really tempted. I am not going to give into it, of that I am determined, but it has been a difficult couple of days for me, possibly the most difficult yet. My wife has gone out shopping so I think I will turn off the computer tonight and go and do something to distract myself.

Hasta Luego Amigos.

Dominus, I think its great you immediately spoke to your wife about that. Its seems she is a real rock for you, just as my wife is. I do not need to preach to you, you know that we face temptation everywhere we look virtually every single day. Newsagents, petrol stations, just about anything! You are strong, but naturally you will have weak days, May your wife continue to be the source of your strength, and remember, We are all friends here, and we are all routing for each other aswell. So you have a lot of support my friend. Why not try and beat my bubble trouble or pacman score? (if you can of course!

I also want to commend you on talking to your wife about that. And for coming on here as well. I know when something we see tempts us and makes us have those nasty flashbacks, it can get hard and it can get oh so tempting to go back to the way things used to be. Keep looking forward man, past holds nothing for us and the future holds everything for us, but you already knew that didn't you . Keep it up man, its encouraging to see you succeed. Its definitely helping me in my journey, so I just wanted to thank you for that.

Thanks guys, Im back on my feet today, I was a bit taken back by the intensity of how I felt at the time, closest feeling I can relate it to was back in school when a girl I was madly infatuated with would walk through the door, a sudden twist in my stomach. I don't much care for the idea of being infatuated with porn mind! One good thing, daily the urge gets easier and easier to control - and that i like

Anyhow its friday night, time for a curry and a film with the missus. Have a good weekend guys.

Aha, I was sad, but I am happy today, I took my mum out for a meal which is the first time i think I've ever done it without a specific event for a reason. I've noticed that I have more time for that kind of stuff recently which is great. thanks for your concern and in fact the curry was awesome!
