      Good work Clog,

I didn't want to pull any punches because in the end it's better to hear that from me now than for you to come back next year with the same problem. I like the plan though, whenever you have temptations come straight back to that - look at why you want to quit, identify the trigger and put the strategies into action.

      Best of luck to you,

      Keep us updated mate :)

      Ben
The world is in a constant conspiracy against the brave. It's the age-old struggle: the roar of the crowd on the one side, and the voice of your conscience on the other. - Douglas MacArthur

"'Thou mayest rule over sin,' Lee. That's it. I do not believe all men are destroyed. I can name you a dozen who were not, and they are the ones the world lives by. It is true of battles - only the winners are remembered. Surely most men are destroyed, but there are others who like pillars of fire guide frightened men through the darkness. 'Thou mayest!' What glory! It is true that we are weak and sick and quarrelsome, but if that is all we ever were we would, millenniums ago, have disappeared from the face of the earth. A few remnants of fossilised jawbone, some broken teeth in a strata of limestone, would be the only mark man would have left of his existance in the world. But the choice, Lee, the choice of winning!" - East of Eden by John Steinbeck

Once we realize the PA is basically a way to block out feelings and issues, its possible to really motivate ourselves to change. But it takes courage and a lot of work. But the realization we need to do it for ourselves is crucial step.

      Default Goodbye

      Dear all,

I've just spent a long time deleting all my entries in this journal, as part of wiping out my traces on this forum.

      The reasons:

      - I didn't feel my last re-entry into the fold of TTF was particularly helpful to me
      - I have real life support structures in place now that serve me much better than the virtual support on this forum
      - This now very much belongs to a previous phase of my life and the journal has served its purpose for me
      - I was concerned there was too much information in my journal that might identify me to people who might not wish me well in the real world

The support you guys provided me in the early days of my struggle was wonderful and I'll forever be grateful for it.

      Go well, all of you.

      Clog.
