      Hate hearing about the P slips, and good knowing you have a problem. Have you talked with a counselor at your college about your PA? How much counseling have you done? I will read your journal far more in depth over the weekend, since it is so long, but, it seems you have been trying to give up P for a long time. Do you know WHY you are slipping? Is your commitment to geting well, not really there or is it you have not addressed the underlining issues of why you feel you need it?

      Have you read these?

      1. The Porn Trap, by Wendy Maltz.
      2. The Addictive Personality: Understanding the Addictive Process and Compulsive Behavior (Paperback) by Creig Nakken second edition.

      The second I read and felt like I was reading my own life. It helped me see the PA as only part of a larger issue.
      I am new to this, and just begining my journey. I am very committed to it, and hope you are too.

      Best of luck, stay strong.

      Hey, Im back. I"m going to try to stick around this time (probably waht I said last time). This time I really feel like I hit rock bottom. I'm REALLY going to make an effort this time, I'm sick and tired of all the crap.

      Hey HP,

      Welcome back. It's good to see you on the site again though I wish it wasn't for this reason. I've been going through a rough patch too recently though so you're not the only one.

      I'm not going to give you any advice since you know what I'd say anyway. You know what you have to do to beat this. Best of luck to you, but don't rely on that. Only you can make this time different from the others. It is your choice.

      Best wishes,

      Ben
      The world is in a constant conspiracy against the brave. It's the age-old struggle: the roar of the crowd on the one side, and the voice of your conscience on the other. - Douglas MacArthur

      "'Thou mayest rule over sin,' Lee. That's it. I do not believe all men are destroyed. I can name you a dozen who were not, and they are the ones the world lives by. It is true of battles - only the winners are remembered. Surely most men are destroyed, but there are others who like pillars of fire guide frightened men through the darkness. 'Thou mayest!' What glory! It is true that we are weak and sick and quarrelsome, but if that is all we ever were we would, millenniums ago, have disappeared from the face of the earth. A few remnants of fossilised jawbone, some broken teeth in a strata of limestone, would be the only mark man would have left of his existance in the world. But the choice, Lee, the choice of winning!" - East of Eden by John Steinbeck

      Its me again (of course) . . .

      . . . Guess what? . . .

      . . . Of course . . . I made it another day!

      3 days now! I believe this is the longest that I've made it without porn or masturbation since the last time I came around here and posted and then left!

      Well, here's to another day right ;)

      Also, I don't know if its the sites CSS thats causing problems with the text box here (it doesn't scroll when you type enough and sometimes it doesn't alow me to backspace, and it never alows me to click in a paragraph I've made and enter more. But I have some fixes for some CSS errors that this site has:

      Take a look at line 114 in the "style.css" file.

      There you will see "font-size: 15x;"
      that needs to be "font-size: 15px;"

      Take a look at line 115 in the "style.css" file.

      There you will see "font-style: strong;"
      There is no such thing as "font-style: strong;" The only "font-style:" 's there are are:
      p.normal {font-style:normal;}
      p.italic {font-style:italic;}
      p.oblique {font-style: oblique;} (without the space between the colon and the o . . . the editor keeps changing it to so I put the space in there)

      Next line 121 has the same problem as 114.
      "font-size: 12x;" needs to be changed to "font-size: 12px;"

      Then the last error I see shows for line #123 "color: #666666;"
      There is nothing wrong with this line but theres an issue with the previous line that causes this!
      "font-style:italic" needs to be "font-style:italic;" whoever programmed it forgot the semi-colon. those can cause lotsa problems!

      anyways, see if those fix the issues I'm seeing with the text box, if not then I'm going to do a little more research!

      Well, I stumbled 5 minutes ago. I'm upset about it, but I'm going to try to use it for good, I'm going to continue to try hard to over-come this. 4 days is a good change, Its been a long time since I've stopped for 4 days, so that shows improvement, I just need to not let this get me down and keep my chin up!
