Yes, the nervous sexual energy builds up when you don't masturbate - this can be channelled into other activities. In Eastern culture it is this 'bindu' (not far away from the concept of 'mojo') and holding onto it can make you more energised, fresh and chatty. Releasing it in large quantities via M & P makes for low energy and sociability in my experience.

Yup. I suppose there may be a point where masturbation is simply a natural release if sexual energy in certain circumstances, but I don't think that that's the case for me now.
In fact, I doubt whether masturbation was ever a harmless habit for me. As long as I can remember masturbation has been linked in my mind with feelings of self-loathing and insecurity. Along with a fascination for pornography, I've used masturbation as a way to distract myself from personal issues and problems I should have been dealing with long before now. Like any other addiction, it becomes an obsession blanking out everything else in life.
