Default Self Inflicted Pain - Addicted to Tastey Poison

At the end of the day what it comes down to, for us porn addicts, is Decision. Are we willing to deny ourselves porn, and do what feels like stabbing ourselves in the stomache over and over again? Or are we going to give in to that, Evil Demon, and feel the temporary relief of a lifelong mistake?

My Chemicals believe that the latter is the easier path to take... but over months/years/decades of watching porn, I begin to lose my

      Love for Others
      Integrity

      - I am the Fat man
      - The Crack addict
      - The Alcoholic
      - The Smoker
      - The Suicidal

Because just as they cannot quit
      > Relentlessly eating cookies
      > Looking for another cocain fix
      > Spending every dime on vodka
      > Opening pack after pack of cigarettes
      > Trying to kill themselves

      I cannot quit Pornography.

      Hi Fight-IT,

Is this an excerpt from a book or other media? or is this your own words and feelings?

      Thanks for the feedback guys.

FoolishMind - the above quote wasn't from a book; I had just come out of a Pornography-regression, and felt sick to my stomache.

Listed from easiest to hardest are the steps I am taking to quit Pornography.

The 1st step is Acceptance: Coming to understand that you have an addiction.
The 2nd step is Epiphany: Realizing that this is not just a problem, but your own destruction
The 3rd step is Action: Doing whatever it takes to quit every single day. Because you are an addict every day, you essentially have to quit Pornography (again and again) every day. This is by far the hardest step.

Just remember that the rewards of quitting far outweigh the consequences... no matter what your brain tells you.

      Default I agree

I always feel like i understand alcoholics, crack heads and people that hurt people as part of their sexual act. Because even though I don't do that, I feel like I can't stop what i'm doing, so maybe they are the same way. And just because their sin seems much worse, it comes from the same root as mine.
(It feels weird saying it though)
      J;)
