      Default Need motivation?

      Hi Everyone,

For the most part today was a good day. Accidentally, I stumbled upon something that truly moved me and to be frank really disturbed me.

I had seen some posts from people on TTF that were related to the "P" industry and how detrimental, degrading and abusive it is to ALL who are involved. I decided to go to youtube and check out some of the stories of former "P" stars etc.

All I can say is that after listening to several testimonials I had to stop. It was so sad to hear these stories of women whose lives were basically destroyed by the "P" industry. Listening to the tragic stories made me realize that I, ME, was contributing to their demise!!!!

Awful....just dreadful. I highly recommend to all PA's who are wondering if they really want to give this stuff up that you go and listen to these women speak about the "p" culture. Remember, they are all somebody's daughter.

      Hope this helps!

      Hi Best Shot!
I agree wholeheartedly that listening to some of the anti P material that is out there is very compelling and disturbing. I know that it had a powerful effect on mac's recovery. Much tragedy involved!
I would just like to caution that there are definately triggering type materials that come along with some of this material and so PAs need to be a little wary when seeking this out.
For Mac and I, we would share this material and often just choose to listen rather than watch to be certain. (Or I might check it out ahead of time.)
I also know that the searching out of such materials can be somewhat of a trigger in itself, just for the searching aspect.
Thanks for sharing Bestshot. Not trying to take away from the importance of what you are saying! But to those who are unsure of what they may encounter and how it will affect them I just say, be careful!
      All the best!

Thank you for writing what you did. I was about to reply to this post with the same warning but you beat me too it. I know that when I choose to watch what they had to say about this industry, I had to be very careful in doing so. I waited until I was just a little bit stronfer in my recovery, because, like you said, thou they are talking against this business, it can be very triggering, if not careful.

I would suggest all who can, to see what we were allowing to continue in this industry, while we were in our addiction. but with that said, if you are triggered very easy, maybe it would be good, to just stay away from this for now?

It is very good information, and it is helpful in our recovery, but not worth taking the chance to be triggered.

SO, PLEASE, BE CAREFUL IF YOU DECIDE TO VIEW SUCH THING

      Your fellow addict
