SAA Does help when you need them

[IN NEED OF HELP]

Many of us here, are just trying to do one thing in our lives, and that is, find the best ways to deal with this addiction. In trying to deal with it, we are looking for anything that can possibly help us with this addiction.

We were all lucky enough to have come upon the wonderful website called Through the Flames. (TTF) We feel that this is the best place to be, because here, we can, openly talk about our addiction, knowing, that in any way, are we are not going to be belittled because of our actions. Instead, we receive very loving, and respectful support, from so many here at TTF.

I can in no way, find anything bad about this site. When they put this site together, they had one thought in there minds in doing so, and that is, to find a place, a safe place, where people, can come here, to get the much needed support in this God awful, family destroying addiction.

If there is anything I can say, that you can’t do here is this. And this is no disrespect to TTF, because this is just way out of there control to allow this to happen. We have so many people here. Different time zones, different countries, and so on. There are times, when one of us comes here, we find, that we are the only one here. Let’s say, and I have seen this happen, that we are at home, struggling, fighting like hell to not give in to this addiction.
Our Hearts have already trained us, to come here, before we click away to any other site. We come here, really needing to talk to someone, to get help in our struggles, but no one is here. At times, we may be able to read a few journals, to get our minds off of what we are going through, but then there are times, that wont do, we need someone to talk to, but there is just no one else to message with, so they can help us. Maybe we get frustrated because no one is here, and in the end, are results are, that we give in to this addiction, and we act out.


SAA, is a wonderful thing to have as a part of your recovery. The support that we receive is just amazing. For me, there is nothing like being face to face with a group of people in the same room, who suffer like we do with this addiction. There is never any fear in going through that door, because no one there is going to say, anything bad about you.
One thing about SAA, is that you are always a phone call away for help, and you really need to talk to someone bad. Think about it; let’s say you are calling 1-555-555-5555. By the time you dial the number, and someone answers, you have help in about 20 seconds. Even if they don’t answer, you can always call someone else, and in less than a minute it takes to dial the two numbers, this can save you, from acting out.


My friends, if you don’t go to outside meetings, please consider it. It will prove to be the best thing you have done, for help in your recovery. And we all need all the help we can get

They do help so much. please think about going, if you feel it will help
