I don’t see any need to apologize, WF. Going off on tangents keeps the discussion lively and interesting. I think it’s perfectly normal and healthy to talk about something other than this problem of ours once in a while. It’s only a small part of who I am, not the whole enchilada. And we could use some jokes once in a while, too, bad or otherwise. It gets pretty somber around here a lot of the time, for obvious reasons. To paraphrase that old blues standard, “If it wasn’t for bad jokes, I wouldn’t have no jokes at all.”
Endlessly kicking ourselves for mistakes large and small seems to be a pretty common thing among TTFers. I still kick myself for dumb things I did going back to when I was seven years old. I know this does me no good, and I have to end it, but I can’t seem to figure out how. Maybe we can talk about that next week, if anyone’s up for it.
(P.S.—I guess I could write “apologise” as well, seeing as how I have Canadian ancestry, eh!)
