Hi, I'm new to this website. I've been struggling with p for just about 11 months. I always seen to change my mind about it, when its available. The longest I've been off is 4 weeks. Any tips on how I should plan to stop. Please help:((.

First thing that could be helpful, is install a filter, K9 is free, and could be helpful in deterring. You could start a journal, and examine and explain WHY you want to stop.....

Hi Runner! Welcome to TTF! It is a positive sign that you choose to be here.
As Charly said the filter is a good idea. The journal is also good.
Reading here and communicating here with people who are experiencing the same as you, is a godsend!
My H has found it helpful to read about the P industry and the truths about this business and its affects on all involved in it. We are amazed by the sites who are devoted to this addiction. It just shows how much of a problem this has become in society.
My H also attended counselling and read the book The Porn Trap. Some others on this site attend 12 step programs, which we do as well but it is a program unrelated to PA. Our program still assists us with many aspects which would relate to this situation.
I wish you all the best as you start your recovery Runner!
Keep coming back!
Jenn

Welcome runner123,
First off, I am a married PA... Second, I agree with Charly and JenMac. You need to understand WHY you want to quit. Then seek what helpful resources are available to you. Jen mentions "The Porn Trap" book which I have read as well. I have not done the 12 steps program, but I have sought out counseling with someone who specializes in SA & PA. Believe me, it helps a great deal.
One of the things I would like to offer up as advice is to read the journals of not only PA's but SO's as well. See things from both sides. This is a free resource to you, so I would recommend that you take some time, grab a soda and read. There is valuable knowledge that can be learned by what we as PA's go through as well as our SO's.
What ever path you choose, I wish you luck on your journey for a cleaner, healthier life!

runner,
JenMac and Charly have provided some great advice and specific steps (K9, journaling, etc.).. Please follow!
Journal ideas:
- you can tell your story from the beginning or from where you are now, to gain perspective on your P addiction (PA)
- you start a new thread in the Journals for PAs section and title it as you see fit; this will allow others in the TTF Community to rally around your pursuit of freedom
Let the healing begin,
Daniel
