      Default Just realized something

Some times, I just miss the adrenaline rush that comes from looking at the stuff. Like just now, I was contemplating it, and I was like "why do I even want that, right now?"

It's cause I'm kind of craving the rush that comes with it. I kept myself from looking, and I'm leaving the house soon, but it's a good thing to know.

Now...how do I keep myself from craving the rush in the first place?

I know what you mean. As I've said before, I've never enjoyed P, but the thing that got me hooked was the rush. That is the thing my body craves, and that's why- as long as I stay active- I don't even have a single thought about P.

Joining the military could help. They keep you plenty active and nothing gives you an adrenaline high like getting your ass shot.
Quitting P and serving your country at the same time. That's the American spirit.

      hast,
What else gives you that feeling? That rush? Finding a healthy replacement can help. Everyone is different so try some new things and see if you can find something to bring on a rush without P or MB. Some people turn to exercise because it raises those same hormones/brain chemicals naturally. There's many options out there. For me, it's games. I'm an "A" type so competition in game play brings on the rush. But, you will need to find what works for you.

And the military is not a bad option....but on that note, getting shot at gets old after a while....besides how can you run with stitches Mefree? :D

I can vouch for her tenacity in video games. Man she kicks my butt in Lego Star Wars all the time! :D

Default military is not a cure

The military is not a cure and that is not a good reason to join. If you join the military for the rush and think that will cure P, you are sadly mistaken.

ehhh....thanks for the suggestions, but I don't think I'll be joining the army any time soon...especially if I'm only doing it as a way to distract from P! That's a big commitment!

The exercise comment seems like a good idea, though. I usually don't even think to replase on the days I run

      lol Crisodian! :D

Glad I got a laugh in today. 'Stitches' sounds like a pretty catchy nickname.

      Hi again WNLM.
Sorry about the military comment. I can be a bit of a jokester at times and forget about how serious the problems on these forums are.

Good luck everyone! And to you Hast!

Meh you can migrate to my country if you want to...we have 2 years of compuslory military service for men aged 18-19. Kinda sucks, but I'm sure Starpuppy can tell you all about it:)

In any case, doing stuff just for the sake of the adrenaline rush seems kinda risky. Skydiving, maybe? Excercising is a good option though. You become buff AND p-free at the same time.

Haha well I would be safe as I'm a girl, but thanks for the suggestion ;)

Yeah, I think I'll go with the excercising plan. I get the adrenaline, the endorphins, and I feel better about myself afterwards, not worse! It's a win, win, win!

      Haha :)

Exercise is a good idea, though if you are a music fan, I reckon a good concert would give a similar quick rush to porn; could get expensive though.

Failing that, perhaps look in the other direction to activities where you are rewarded by calmness rather than a rush of adrenaline, things like meditation?
