      Default spreadin the word

hey eveyone. today i have gone to a porn site i have regularly attended and started chatting with some people on the site in the chat box. i told them about all of the negatives of porn, and told them about this site. i got really angry when these guys started to make fun of me, like saying "'im cumming". Then i got restricted from the site. was it a good decision? If it is, can some of u veterans tell me, and if it is go to some sites and start spreadint he word about through the flames, but dont watch the videos. K?

Munkman, you have to make your own choices, but I know I couldn't do that. I'm sure in AA they would tell recovering alcoholics not to work in bars.

If someone is drowning, you should not jump into the water to save them, in their panic they will grab you and pull both of you down. You need to save them from a position of stability like a boat or a dock. Basically, going to P sites to save P addicts, isn't going to help anyone. You need to help them from a place of safety, like this forum. When they are ready they will come here where they can be helped from a position of safety and stability.

most likely anyone who is already on a P website is not going to be listening to you with an open mind, obviously because they are most likely going to be watching the videos. it would take a very strong person to go to a site like that and not watch the videos - i feel like it would just turn into an excuse to go to the sites.

i suggest to stay far away from any p related site during your recovery. like cyber said, they have to come here when they are ready and realize they are struggling with a problem.

Not to add or detract from the great advice below but I would add
not to go near porn sites ever....especially during recovery but quite honestly you can never view these sites period if you are like me and thousands of others taking just one drink can hook you.....

I wouldn't do that if I were you. There are professionals who know about this addiction, and these people are making us aware of what is really taking place. You can check it out in my thread.

There is a science behind our addiction

Spare your efforts my friends. You don't know how to help yourself there, and your own efforts fail you often. My own efforts fail me very often as well.
