Self care is so important. Are you taking time for yourself? Not just time to work on yourself in relation to PA/SA (that's important) but time just for you and personal development..
Over the years I've found it difficult to really invest in myself. There just never seemed to be enough time or I felt guilty taking the time away from my husband and family.
Lately I'm taking the "oxygen mask on an airplane" example to heart. You know, if you don't put your oxygen mask on first you can't be sure you can really help anyone else
So here are some of the things I'm doing for me as of late:
01.) Joined Weight Watchers (I'm a comfort eater from wayyyyy back)
02.) Am actually going to the YMCA vs just paying the bill (Water Aerobics FTW)
03.) Started a gratitude journal that I use to ground myself in the evenings after the kiddos are all in bed.
04.) This fall I went back to school after being laid off. I'm finally persuing the career of my passion.
05.) Joined S-Anon and am working on selecting a sponsor.
There are so many other things on my "bucket list" and not all of them are just for me.
