internet softwar for phones

Just wondering if there is software out there that you can filter internet on mobile phones. I have verizon and was just wondering. I would love to upgrade our phones and get new ones with internet but this is holding me back. I'm thinking the droid but maybe not even that nice. Can you but k-9 on it?

So my room mate recently gave me his old phone since mine was shot and he upgraded, and it has access to the internet and there IS a program which I downloaded to protect myself but it looks like it costs 10 USD per month, so I am not going to get it in case somehow the bill ends up in my parents hands..

You can if you can change the dns settings on the phone. Opendns has "family Shield" that automatically blocks P. I don't know which phone you have If you can PM with the model and make of your phone I maybe able to help you.

My PA has iwonder on his iPhone. Just started using it and it so good at blocking stuff he's stopped trying to use it for anything. Really useful stuff like news/maps etc you can get apps for that are really limited and you can also block restrictions for "age appropriate" apps. oh and it also emails you with list of visited /attempted visited sites. Lotsa piece of mind for this SO!
