      Talking Understanding Why (psychologically)

I came across this diagram and thought it was helpful in a basic way. Now it is specifically dealing with S addiction and not P but I really feel it is applicable. It states that in order to battle the addiction process we need to start at step one. So, for all of us trying to figure out how we can help our loved ones maybe we should start conversating with them about their triggers and dealing with unresolved pasts that may be contributing factors in their addiction. I think focusing mainly on the P addiction just act as putting a band aid on something that isn't going to heal unless we find out what is causing it.

I would love to see other sites that SO's have found helpful that may address the issue to getting to the root. And I will continue posting sites I find helpful as I find them. Good luck to everyone!
