A happy update

Hi everyone, hope you're all doing ok and coping.

Thought i'd post a happy post! If you don't know me my journal tells all.

My man is doing very well, i've been monitoring his computer and he's been away from P for a few months now!! He's been doing really well and is very happy.

He actually tells me how the people at his work annoy him because they talk about P and have it on their phones etc. He gets a lift to work with one man from work, who is a bad influence but my man still does well and hates being in the car with him... he says he drives past women and makes comments like "look at the pair on that one"... my boyfriend says he ignores this man and doesn't look. He also said this man's phone is full of P and he keeps trying to show my boyfriend his P!!! I'm proud my boyfriend can tell me this and how much it annoys him.

He gets annoyed if he sees P on anything, like TV.. magazines in shops etc.

Out of habit and caution i still do keep an eye on him, but i can tell at the moment he's not into it anymore.

We'll have been together 2 years this Wednesday, i've just booked a table at our favourite restaurant :)

I am at the same point with Hubby and it is such a relief to be at a point where this is hope and a future again.

My Husband has become really strong in his resolve to beat this, he will switch off the tv if he sees anything that might be a trigger, and talk to me when he has had any issues.

I also still occasionally check and worry, but it is almost out of habit than need, I don't expect to find anything, and I check less often and less thoroughly than I once did.

It is kind of like a reformed ex smoker, they become the most vocal about the dangers of smoking. My husband has realised we live in a world where boys are targeted and drawn into P, everyday, and he is quite vocal when he sees the obvious and unneeded over sexualisation of women in music clips, advertising and movies.

He is a different man, he has become much more confident and happy and our relationship is back on track.

Good luck in the future and have a brilliant dinner, you both deserve it.

Awww Glass of water, i'm so pleased to hear you're doing well too :)

There were many times i thought we wouldn't get through it, and it's hard to believe we've come so far! I sometimes get reminded of all that happened and get emotional, but i for now i'm pleased to be this far.

Glad it gives other people hope! To be honest, the meal was awful!!! The waitress kept messing up our order and there was a big group of people behind us making so much noise we couldn't hear each other!
