It isn't very difficult to see why
You are the way you are
Doesn't take a genius to realise
That sometimes life is hard
It's gonna take time
But you'll just have to wait
You're gonna be fine
But in the meantime
Come over here lady
Let me wipe your tears away
Come a little nearer baby
Coz you'll heal over
Heal over
Heal over someday
And I don't wanna hear you tell yourself
That these feelings are in the past
You know it doesn't mean they're off the shelf
Because pain's built to last
Everybody sails alone
But we can travel side by side
Even if you fail
You know that no one really minds
Come over here lady
Don't hold on but don't let go
I know it's so hard
You've got to try to trust yourself
I know it's so hard, so hard
Come over here lady
Let me wipe your tears away
Come a little nearer baby
Coz you'll heal over, heal over, heal over someday

The world is in a constant conspiracy against the brave. It's the age-old struggle - the roar of the crowd on one side and the voice of your conscience on the other. ~ Douglas Macarthur
She said I don't know if I've ever been good enough
I'm a little bit rusty, and I think my head is caving in
And I don't know if I've ever been really loved
By hand that's touched me, and I feel like something's gonna give
And I'm a little bit angry, well
This ain't over, no not here, not while I still need you around
You don't owe me, we might change
Yeah we just might feel good
I wanna push you around, well I will, well I will
I wanna push you down, well I will, well I will
I wanna take you for granted, I wanna take you for granted, yeah I will, I will
Well I will
She said I don't know why you ever would lie to me
Like I'm a little untrusted when I think that the truth is gonna hurt ya
And I don't know why you couldn't just stay with me
You couldn't stand to be near me
When my face don't seem to want to shine
'cuz It's a little bit dirty well
Don't just stand there, say nice things to me
I've been cheated I've been wronged you,
And you don't know me, yah well I can't change
I won't do anything at all
I wanna push you around, well I will, well I will
I wanna push you down, well I will, well I will
I wanna take you for granted, I wanna take you for granted, yeah I will, I will
Oh but don't bowl me over
Just wait a minute well it kinda fell apart, things get so crazy, crazy
Don't rush this baby, don't rush this Baby, baby
I wanna push you around, well I will, well I will
I wanna push you down, well I will, well I will
I wanna take you for granted, yeah, yeah, yeah
I wanna take you, take you, yeah, well I will, I will, I will, I will
I will, I will, I will, Yeah, yeah, push you around,
I'll drag you down, I wanna push you around
Well I will
Love is the rhythm of two hearts beating
Poundin' out a message steady and true
Talk to me baby tell me what you're feelin'
I know what love is
What's it to you
This kinda helps me in a way -

I see nothing in your eyes, and the more I see the less I like.
Is it over yet, in my head?
I know nothing of your kind, and I won't reveal your evil mind.
Is it over yet? I can't win.
So sacrifice yourself, and let me have what's left.
I know that I can find the fire in your eyes.
I'm going all the way, get away, please.
[Chorus:]
You take the breath right out of me.
You left a hole where my heart should be.
You got to fight just to make it through,
'cause I will be the death of you.
This will be all over soon.
Pour salt into the open wound.
Is it over yet? Let me in.
[Chorus:]
You take the breath right out of me.
You left a hole where my heart should be.
You got to fight just to make it through,
'cause I will be the death of you.
" I had to do it for myself and not for just for her. We are working things out and our relationship
is growing again ." <-- My wish :/
How to save a life-The Fray (Its more for people whose loved ones are struggling with P)
Step one you say we need to talk
He walks you say sit down it's just a talk
He smiles politely back at you
You stare politely right on through
Some sort of window to your right
As he goes left and you stay right
Between the lines of fear and blame
You begin to wonder why you came
CHORUS:
Where did I go wrong, I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life
Let him know that you know best
Cause after all you do know best
Try to slip past his defense
Without granting innocence
Lay down a list of what is wrong
The things you've told him all along
And pray to God he hears you
And pray to God he hears you
CHORUS:
Where did I go wrong, I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life
As he begins to raise his voice
You lower yours and grant him one last choice
Drive until you lose the road
Or break with the ones you've followed
He will do one of two things
He will admit to everything
Or he'll say he's just not the same
And you'll begin to wonder why you came
CHORUS:
Where did I go wrong, I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life
CHORUS:
Where did I go wrong, I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life
How to save a life
How to save a life
CHORUS:
Where did I go wrong, I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life
CHORUS:
Where did I go wrong, I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life
How to save a life

All day
Staring at the ceiling
Making friends with shadows on my wall
All night
Hearing voices telling me
That I should get some sleep
Because tomorrow might be good for something
Hold on
I'm feeling like I'm headed for a
Breakdown
I don't know why
I'm not crazy, I'm just a little unwell
I know, right now you can't tell
But stay awhile and maybe then you'll see
A different side of me
I'm not crazy, I'm just a little impaired
I know, right now you don't care
But soon enough you're gonna think of me
And how I used to be
Me
Talking to myself in public
Dodging glances on the train
I know
I know they've all been talking 'bout me
I can hear them whisper
And it makes me think there must be something wrong
With me
Out of all the hours thinking
Somehow
I've lost my mind
I'm not crazy, I'm just a little unwell
I know, right now you can't tell
But stay awhile and maybe then you'll see
A different side of me
I'm not crazy, I'm just a little impaired
I know right now you don't care
But soon enough you're gonna think of me
And how I used to be
I been talking in my sleep
Pretty soon they'll come to get me
Yeah, they're taking me away
I'm not crazy, I'm just a little unwell
I know, right now you can't tell
But stay awhile and maybe then you'll see
A different side of me
I'm not crazy I'm just a little impaired
I know, right now you don't care
But soon enough you're gonna think of me
And how I used to be
Hey, how I used to be
How I used to be, yeah
Well I'm just a little unwell
How I used to be
How I used to be

Redemption Song - Bob Marley -

Such an amazing song it needs no introduction. I learned to play it on guitar today and it struck me how relevant this song can be for PA. "Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery! None but ourselves can free our minds!"
So yeah here are the lyrics:
"Old pirates, yes, they rob I;
Sold I to the merchant ships,
Minutes after they took I
From the bottomless pit.
But my hand was made strong
By the hand of the almighty.
We forward in this generation
Triumphantly.
Won't you help to sing
These songs of freedom? -
cause all I ever have:
Redemption songs;
Redemption songs.
Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery;
None but ourselves can free our minds.
Have no fear for atomic energy,
cause none of them can stop the time.
How long shall they kill our prophets,
While we stand aside and look?
Some say its just a part of it:
Weve got to fulfil the book.
Wont you help to sing
These songs of freedom? -
Cause all I ever had:
Redemption songs;
Redemption songs;
Redemption songs.
These songs of freedom,
Songs of freedom."
"Every day you may make progress. Every step may be fruitful. Yet there will stretch out before you an ever-lengthening, ever-ascending, ever-improving path. You know you will never get to the end of the journey. But this, so far from discouraging, only adds to the joy and glory of the climb." - Sir Winston Churchill
Didn't I make you feel
Like you were the only man?
Didn't I give you everything
A woman possibly can?
But with all the love I give you
Its never enough
I'm gonna show you baby
That a woman can be tough
So come on, come on, come on, come on
(take it)
Take another little piece of my heart, now baby
(break it)
Break another little bit of my heart, now honey
(have a)
Have another little piece of my heart now, baby
You know you've got it if it makes you feel good
Yeah, out on the street
And you know deep down in your heart
That ain't right
I know you never never hear me
When I cry at night
I tell myself that I cant stand the pain
But when you hold me in your arms I say it again
So come on come on, come on, come on and
(take it)
Take another little piece of my heart, now baby
(break it)
Break another little bit of my heart, now honey
You'd better have a
Have another little piece of my heart, now baby
You know you've got it if it makes you feel good
Love is real, real is love,
Love is feeling, feeling love,
Love is wanting to be loved.
Love is touch, touch is love,
Love is reaching, reaching love,
Love is asking to be loved.
Love is you,
You and me,
Love is knowing,
We can be.
Love is free, free is love,
Love is living, living love,
Love is needing to be loved.
God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference. Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time.
After coming to grips with your PA have you noticed songs that seem to speak to you? [Yes, I see now..]
In my case I many times see my P addiction personified in the songs.
Music is special for me in this regard as I NEVER let myself listen to music while I used P.
This is really important since music occupies that special untainted place, spotless from the sludge I drug my mind through.. And it's many times a refuge for me.
Here are some songs, I hope to add more as they come to mind:
1. Mad Season, "Wake Up", from their one and only album, self-titled, 1995. This song is unbelievably on point.
2. The Cult, "Hollow Man", from the Love album, 1985 (this is the same album with the hit "She Sells Sanctuary")
If I'm sorry comes along and says its all ok
For you top walk out whenever it suits
And not give a thought for me stuck here
And don't come back with nothing to show
When together we could be building something that could take us out of this
You can take him with you cause it's obvious
That he's your friend
He's your friend
Well you can keep I'm sorry
Cause he ain't no friend of mine
And the worst of it is not the money you've blown
Or that girl I know your seeing
Or all your friends are drunk in bars
Don't think i don't guess what you say to them
Your hand picked jury listen to you prosecute
And I'm not there to defend myself
No the worst of it is what's left of you now
The jury is not here now
The only friend you've got left
Left to hold your hand is I'm sorry
He's your friend, I'm sorry
He's your friend, I'm sorry
Well you can keep I'm sorry
Cause he ain't no friend of mine
Well you can keep I'm sorry
Cause he ain't no friend of mine
I'm sorry ain't good enough this time

For some reason this song is the one I would go to every time something happens and he apologises and promises me he will never do it again. Sometimes a song will be like a warm quilt which envelopes you and keeps you safe.
