Talking Anyone else cook out their stress?

I was just wondering if anyone else uses kitchen appliances to work through yucky stuff. I have a habit of trying to feed people when I am sad. LOL. Just wondering if anyone else does this and if they have any good cookie recipes :)

Yeah. I tend to bake and cook when I am down. What kind of cookies are you in the mood for simple or something a little time consuming?

Simple, I go for peanut butter blossoms (kiss cookies) Easy. Yummy and not hard to muck up when I'm not 100% focused.

Actually I have baked cupcakes 2 weekends in a row. Those are popular items in my house with 2 toddlers!

For the more complex cookie, I might do a dipped choco-dainty or the like. Basically a long narrow shaped rolled refridgerator cookie with mini-chips, hand dipped (1/2) in chocolate when complete and either rolled in chopped walnuts or almonds or not, depending on preference. :)

And when I get really down, I break out the cheesecake recipes!

That hasn't happened in a while though. :D

Definatley easy, I think I will go with your peanut butter idea. And maybe more cupcakes. Hasn't been a cheesecake day here either. Those are usually reserved for when there is no one to share with lol. I'm very possesive of my dairy based desserts. ROFL

Would you like the PB recipe?

I also have a cheesecake recipe made with low or non-fat cream cheese and sugar substitue, if and when the need arises. Of course, if I am at the point I am making cheesecake, I am not going to care if it has fat or sugar! ROTFL

Already googled PB blossoms and am recruiting eldest child to measure and pour :) And ya, cheesecake days usually call for the highest calories, though I'd be interested to try your recipe. I found a terrible and wonderful recipe not too long ago for those "If I don't get cheesecake STAT someone is gonna lose a body part" days... Milkshakes made with vanilla ice cream and Sara Lee cheesecake bites... My arteries are thankful I've only gone there once.

I'll dig up the recipe for the cheesecake, and the simple and yummy topping it has. (Made with frozen fruit, gelatin, fruit juice and minimal sugar - also good for the "I want CHEESECAKE but I still want to be able to button my pants tomorrow!" days. :D)

There are many variations on the PB Blossoms. Once you have baked yours, let's compare notes!

Dude!! Dudettes!! PM me with easy recipes... I don't have a ton of time, but I like making stuff, especially stuff that will freeze well for the upcoming holidays!
