      Default "Why Men Have Nipples"

I did a pretty embarassing thing. I was with some friends earlier and we were just sitting around and joking. One of them said something I thought was particularly funny. So did I laugh?- no. I said- out loud- "LOL!"

Then it got real quiet and I was given some pretty strange looks. I couldn't believe I actually said that. I was... (what's the term for it in the UK?... gobsmacked!)

      I was gobsmacked.
Didn't know quite what to say.

I'm new to the whole forum using biz, but I think it's starting to affect me. Has anyone else done this? Maybe not exactly say "lol", but something like it? I really hope I'm not the only one.

...Oh, and if you're wandering about the title of this thread, earlier I was looking through an online book list, looking for one I might be interested in reading, and saw one entitled "Why Men Have Nipples". So you know what I did? I clicked on it. Curiosity, I suppose. The description of it sounded really dumb, but then I thought to myself- It's the title that would sell that thing.
So then I figured I'd run a little experiment and see how many people click on this thread out of strange curiosity. Sorry if you were expecting something different. :)

LOL @ Mefree. Good thinking on the thread title. I laughed out loud when I read it.

I slip occasionally and use an online-ism, for lack of better term. The good part is most people know what the abreviations are. The bad part? It's no less embarrasing.

Hahaha, I can totally relate... I play an MMORPG in my vastly limited free time, and sometimes afterward find my self saying phrases as abbreviations, like ROFLMAO, and BRB. My kids think this is the funniest thing ever. Saw a video called ROFLMAO once, about how to pronounce all those things... I think that only made my little problem worse. At least I'm entertaining though :)

I've never done that, but it's been SO close.

Also... someone gave me that book for Christmas. I'm not sure what they were thinking, other than "Crap, she gave me a gift, and now I need to make things fair!"

For the record, I had never wondered why men have nipples. Ever.
You, yes YOU, whether a PA, a SA, or a SO, are a person of infinite worth and value. You have power far beyond what you know, and strength in abundance. You might not feel like it right now.... but it's true.

Hahaa, Now I must read this book. Never until yesterday did I wonder, but now, I'm intrigued and perplexed...
