      Unhappy need help

      Hi,

I'm a fifty three year old PA who has been looking at porn since I was a thirteen. I've attempted to give it up and have tried numerous times. Hopefully this site will assist me (and my long suffering wife) getting rid of this crap from my life.

      Thanks

Welcome, Metalfossil. Glad you are here. I hope you like the site. You started at 13? I started at 13 too and have been watching since. I'm only 21 though, so for me it's been 8 years. We are hoping that we can help you get rid of this stuff too and be P free for the rest of your life. So we want to help and we are glad you're here.

      Hey Metalfossil!
Welcome to TTF! I am glad you are here!
You will find much support and wisdom here!
I am an SO here and would like to extend a warm welcome to your wife as well, if she would care to join us. She will be in need of support and guidance quite likely as much as you. I know I have found TTF to be a true blessing in mine and my H's life! I hope you will find it the same!
Metal, my H Mac and I are also in our fifties. There are others here in the same age group as well.
Wishing you all the best as you begin your recovery Metal!
      Keep coming back!

Hello Metalfossil and welcome to TTF and I hope you'll find he assistance your in need of to finally get past this life consuming addiction. You'll find this site very helpful with folks who share much the same problems as you I'm sure. I recommend you start your own journal in the recovery journals section so you can track your own journey in this recovery. That also gives others a chance to relate to your story and lend support in your path to recovering from this crap once and for all. I'm right there with you at 52 and can tell you I tried to quit a few times myself but never successfully til my wife caught on to my secret and confronted me... that was over 18 months ago and with her help and the fantastic TTF community I have been clean and sober from the P & MB since that date. This whole recovery is indeed a process and it does not happen over night but I'm here to tell you that every day you stay clean is very liberating and one more day between you and the ugly past!

Congratulations on making the first and the biggest step in your journey of recovery! We don't like seeing all the new members but we certainly appreciate the support as we struggle through the battles we face every day in this war against "P".
