Default New here/Tired of the demon

Hello just thought I would post here and introduce myself. I am 26 years old and married to an awesome woman. I have been dealing with P & M addiction for at least 12 years. I indurred severe abuse as a child and I feel like my psyche has created this demon inside of me as a way to cope. Its almost as if there are these two completely different beings fighting for control of me. Im glad I found this site and hopefully I can use it on my path to healing myself.

Welcome to TTF! I am a 22 year old SO here with my BF (Rockinastorm). You have taken a huge step coming to TTF to begin your recovery process. I hope that TTF provides the caring, supportive environment for you just as it has for so many others here. I have a few suggestions (from things that have helped my BF greatly in his recovery...so yes, they really do work!):
--Start a recovery journal and make a habit of posting in it to monitor your progress
--Get rid of any and all P that you have (magazines, movies, computer files, etc.)
--Install an internet filter, such as K-9 and put the password in a hard-to-locate place to reduce temptations...its free!
--If your SO is willing, suggest TTF to her as well. The support here has helped me greatly with my recovery.
--Read both PA and SO journals
Best of luck to you, and I hope to read some of your posts around TTF soon! Again, welcome to TTF!

      Welcome to TTF So Crazy
You have been given some great start off suggestions from Waterlily.
I suggest that your SO have the password to any filter you install.
There is a wealth of support here and the only limitation to what you can take away from here is you.
I wish you all the best in getting on to a good recovery path.

      Welcome SoCrazy.

I am also 23, so I can also understand some of the aspects of the situation your in. If you like, you can read about my story in my first post and my journal. It might give you a bit of background on someone else that has struggled with p and m.

I am male and 23 years old. My first post on TTF is here. Please read it! ;)

And this is my journal here.
