      Default Brand New

Hi everyone. I'm brand new to this site. Discovered it last night , read all I could and was inspired to join. Basically, all I can say is that I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired. I want my life back. I don't want to skulk around in secret any longer. So much time I have wasted, so much energy wasted.
I'm truly grateful to have found such a community that understands my struggles as a PA.

      Welcome to TTF
Glad you are here to get help. there seems to be a time in our life that we came to see, that we no longer want this crap a part of our lives.

I just want to say, that you are on a long journey at this time. As you may already know, this addiction is powerful, and it loves to control. But, you can beat this thing.
If you are to even have a chance at beating this addiction, many changes are to be made. only you will know what the changes are.

Do you have a good recovery plan installed in your life yet?
If not, you must find a good one now. If you dont know where to find one, then all you need to do is to look into your heart, and see what you need to do to fight this beast off. motivate your heart now, to want to fight this fight. it is a rough road we are on, but in time,it does get smoother for us. What you need to do now, is to take full control over your life. no longer allow this beast to have that control.

What are your triggers? Do you know what they are. if you do, then stop doing anything, or going anywhere, that can make you become triggered. I f you are somewhere, and you see something that can harm you, try to get away, or stop looking. This is why we need to want to fight this beast from our Hearts. No matter where we go, or want we see on TV, or what we read in a magazine, there can always be a trigger. this beast, just loves to throw them in front of us any time that he can

So what should you do right now?
IF you have any secret stash on your computer, delete them. dont wait for another day to pass before you do it, get rid of them now. It is very important that we have nothing we can fall back on to in a weak state of mind.

If you dont have a internet filter on your computer, put one on. you will be sorry down the road, if you dont do it now.
Never think that you dont need one, because you have a strong will power. this beast will test your will power, and he will most likely win that battle.

Find the weapons that you plan on using against this beast. these weapons(recovery plan) are the most important that you can have. If we dont have at least a little plan, this beast, will take full pleasure in attacking you, and once again take full control over you

Come here as much as you can, to read others journals. see what they go through, and how they overcame this problem.

Start your own journal soon, so we can see the areas that we can help you in. if you dont write in it, we cant do a thing for you.
      We want to help you.
We want to see you live a porn free life.
We want to see you do this, and become a better person, not only for you, but for you loved ones
We want to see you come out of this being a winner

Never relax in your recovery. with this addiction, there is no such thing as a comfort zone. you can be free for many years from this addiction, but you will always need to be on guard against him.

You already done the first step in this fight, by coming here to TTF.
Now take whatever other steps that you need to take, to get this damn monster off your back

You are not alone in this battle. you have a full army right here, to help you with this fight

Good luck to you in your recovery.

Thanks for the warm welcome . I've deleted everything from my computer, took a while and I was amazed at the volume of material I had . Feeling a bit lighter today and hopeful, for the first time in a while. After work today i will begin my journal and work on a recovery plan.

Okay, I can't start my journal, too much going on. Still "clean and sober" though.
