      Default Hello everyone

Hello, i am trying to kick my porn addiction once and for all, this is something that i've been struggling with for a long time and i know that it's not a good addiction to have, i've allready been to thearapy, and it worked for awhile but i've had relapses after being done with thearpy, with help and support i know i can beat this. Most importantly i'm doing this for myself so i can be a better person, and for my girlfriend. Thanks.

Welcome to TTF. you have come to the right place to get all the Help and Support that you need to overcome this addiction. I have only been here for a little over two months, and I will say, that without the help that I get here, I would still be in a mess with my life. I am glad to see that you want to do this for YOURSELF. That is the only way to do it. Porn has a very good way to screw up someone and all of their Loved ones. I encourage you to read over the journals to see what others are going thru, and how they overcame things in there lives.

This is a long road that we all travel to rid ourself from this addiction, But if you are determined in your MIND and HEART, you can free yourself from this. It all comes down to ,that we need to make many changes in our life. We need to see what it is that makes us slip back in to viewing Porn, and when we see what they are, we make needed changes to not allow it to be part of our life again. Porn is very sneaky, because it is around us no matter where we go, or what we see, or in what we read. There can always be something that can act as a trigger for us. If you are on this road to recovery, and you do slip, just pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and get right back on that road. NEVER be hard on yourself for slipping, just see what you was doing at that time that you slipped, and make those changes so it dosent happen again.

It is also good if you was to start a journal, and write in it as much as you can. By doing so, you will see where this road is taking you. It will also allow us to see what you are going thru, and this way we can give you as much Support that we can

I wish you the very best in your recovery. I will be looking forward to seeing more things that you post here.

      Hi aj1976,

Welcome to TTF. I'm still a newbie here but can safely say coming here was the best decision I've made in my recovery thus far. Please take the time to start a journal. It gives us a chance to get to know you and us. You will find the support here of huge benefit and the journaling itself a very cathartic process.

All the best on your journey. You've already made a huge step by being here.

      Default Welcome

      Hi aj,

Welcome. I dont want to sound like a broken record, but its true what everyone here says. This is a great place to come too. The people here are very supportive, and make you fell like you are not in this alone. Thats hugely powerful.

Lets kick this thing together. Take care and look forward to reading your posts.

      Winston
