      Default NP straggler

      Hi all.

Like those that came before me, I also am a member over at NP for over 3 years.

While it is true that NP is experiencing technical problems still, that is not the reason for coming here.

Thanks to phil for inviting me here. I really just need some support and encouragement. I feel that has been missing and I am sure that has been mostly my fault.

I have been "recovering" for over 13 years and really seem to just be my wheels. Acted out again today.

I wanted to give this site a try. I read that TTF is not religion based- was just wondering if if is a problem confessing to faith while here?

I hope that we can help each other.

      Thanks for being here.

Feel free to be yourself. No one here can judge you (and won't) we're all in this because we're addicted/were addicted/trying to fight addiction.

Welcome home :) Let out your thoughts/feelings/hopes/dreams/faith etc. You're amongst a new family here :)

Hope to hear from you soon!

First, welcome to TTF. We're glad you found your way. You will find a very supportive group here.

Regarding religion - while we try to keep TTF neutral, non-religion based, we do not discourage people discussing their faith. Quite the oposite actually. If you feel faith plays a roll in your recovery process, then it's ok to discuss and share in your own personal Journal or in the Religion area of the site.

We do ask and encourage tolerance as there are many different faiths and beliefs here.

The rules of the site are here. Section 9 addresses your concern.

Again, a very warm welcome to TTF.

      Find peace,
      ~C~

Rouby! Yay! I was really hoping you would come here. You're gonna like it a lot. Everybody's really warm and friendly, and very supportive and helpful.

I hope you'll start a journal. I'm looking forward to reading it. Also, I started up a 100 Days Goal thread here, which you're welcome to join if you're interested.

My faith in Christ is a big part of my life, and key to my recovery. I write about it in my journal, and I've read many other people talking about their faith. One fellow who's very interesting is a Buddhist. There's even a "Religion" area if you want to talk theology. I think the rule here regarding religion is that all are welcome, and we're just expected to treat others with tolerance and respect, as we should.

Anyway, welcome, welcome, welcome! I'm so glad you're here!

I look forward to being a part of this new family.

I mean it. Please by all means be yourself, let it out! Journals are a great start (as Phil has stated). I thought they were useless at first (just being honest) and now it's my crutch when I'm feeling low. I wish you all of the best in your recovery, and know you will kick Porn out of your life!

Rouby! It's good to see another familiar NPS member register over here at TTF. As crestfallen as I am about the technical breakdown of the old site, TTF is a wonderful recovery community as well. A very personable and caring membership housed within a top-notch web-BB design... I've been very impressed.

You've landed in a great place, my friend. And so have I.

      Take Care,
