Thank you, MEMatt. Just out of curiousity, who is your SO? Still learning my way around and who's who! It is a wonderful site, and though our board seems to be up and running again, I really like it here. Maybe I could do one day here, one day there. I don't know if I'll be able to keep up with both.

My SO's user name is Misty_77. You can find her journal in the Journals for SO's. Hers is simply titled Misty's Journal. You do what you feel is right about which board to post on. We'll always be here.

      Welcome TS,

This is only my second day here, but the welcome has been wonderful. You may not know me, but I also came over from NP, albeit a different reason than the others.

I hope while you/we are here that our recoveries can find that "sweet" spot.

Joining on the late Welcome Toosensitive and hope you are finding it a home from a home at the moment, I really like the terminology of RA as oposed to PA. So ts not only like your from another site, but you speak another language too! Love it.

Anyway, Whether you consider yourself a transplant or a refugee, we all consider you a friend, and I truly hope you get the support and knowledge that your looking for from this site.

      All the best.

*Waves hand* Here I am!! Welcome to TTF, TS! I understand you have your other forums as well, but please know that you're always welcome here! I can tell from your original post, that you're well on your way and you already know what changes need to happen in your life/marriage. I'm so glad you're here. We can learn from each other! I can't wait to read your journal.

      Default Me too...

And welcome from me too. I moved to TTF from NP in October, but remain grateful to NP for showing me a way out of the mud.

Since moving here, I have learned that I have to let my wife play her role in my recovery. She is Aloevera and I hope you catch up with her too.

      Big warm welcome

Thank you, Dagaz/Garry, Rouby, MEMatt, Misty77, FM, GH for all the warm welcomes! I hope I have not overlooked anyone, so if I did, please forgive me, as it was quite unintentional!

Rouby, yes, I do remember seeing your name from NP, and Grasshopper too, besides some of the other RAs here from NP. GH, I find it curious that you made the move before NP went down. Or maybe it was during one of the previous times it went down, even though this past time was the worst and the longest? I applaud anyone seeking recovery for themselves, no matter in what form or on what board. Esp. if one recognizes that something previous was not working for them, whether that was due to lack of guidance and support in the ways they needed most; or whether that was due to technical issues; or simply feeling a need for change, something new and fresh that may offer a different perspective. The bottom line is that you all are still doing something to improve yourselves and your lives, not only for yourselves, but also for those you love. Anyway, Rouby and GH, I am unclear as to your motivations for coming here, but no matter why, it’s good to see you here too.

I truly appreciate the RAs who have let me know who their SOs are. I feel such a beautiful connection can be formed by sharing some aspects of recovery together, when you’re a couple. GH, I feel your allowing AV to “play her role” will benefit not only her, but also you, as well as your marriage. I am so glad for both of you that you have let her in.

I haven't had the time yet, but I do want to read some of the journals here, very much so. I've only been able to look at one so far (CCMs).

This forum is better for me. It seems to have a more inclusive and ecumenical feel, I like the way partners and addicts are not separated, there are more couples here (Aloevera joining the site has been powerful in my recovery), it has more features, I think it is better moderated. I also needed a change. I needed to expose more of me and to be more honest than I was being on NPS. So it was good for me in that way to just start again. Forever grateful to everyone on NPS. It was the one thing that kickstarted my recovery back on 25 August 2010.
