      Default Hello.

Hello my name is Tony and I am a porn addict. My problem is with porn addiction and masturbation addiction. I am glad I found this site because I really need help. My p and mb addiction has caused me to get erectile dysfunction and yet I fond myself unable to stop after several failed attempts. I realized that I needed to talk to someone about it. I am really concerned Ed has already cost me a couple of relationships and being in my late twenties the thought of possibly living my life alone, and never having a family has me terrified. Yet l can't stop. The longest l've been able to go is one week. Any help or advice is very welcome and appreciated.

Hello Tony and welcome to TTF. This forum is a powerful help in facing the reality of our dysfunction and learning the truth behind the lies we have told ourselves and those we love. My baby steps on this path have been the hardest and most worthwhile thing I have ever done.

Finding this site is a great step on this path. Go to the new member welcome area and read the sticky posts helping to start you in the right direction. Read the stories of others who have faced the same problems.

      Glad to have you here.

      Welcome to TTF Tony,

The best two things you can do now regarding "help & advice" is to 1) start your own Recovery Journal and 2) Read Up around the site, visiting the various forums and getting acquainted with the members' journals etc., you will find the advice and help you seek.

By having your own journal you'll be giving the wider TTF community visibility into your own personal situations, allowing them to help, comment, encourage, and otherwise get you going on the path to freedom.

Welcome again and let the healing begin here!,

      Daniel

      Default Welcome to TTF!

Hi Tony. Take to heart what grasshopper & Daniel have posted here. These 2 are some of the wisest men on the site. I have gained a lot from everyone here in the last month. They will help keep you on the path of recovery, the rest is up to you. You won't find a better place to be for your addiction than here, I hope everyone encourages you like they have me. Together, we can beat this, because were ALL WORTH IT! Again welcome to the family. God bless.

Good luck. TTF is a great help. Just reading journals instead of looking at p brings me back to reality. I think the main thing I've realized is that this is not going to be simple. It really is an addiction as serious as drugs. I'm only on day 6 and I can't look beyond tonight. Again good luck. Read and write rather than searching for p.
