Hey all! I am new to this site, so I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Rich, I am 24 years old, and a recent college graduate. I have been working on recovering from this addiction which I have had for many years, for about two years now. I have had many ups and downs (I am currently only on day 2 sober). But I remain optimistic. :) I was previously using NpSupport Board, and thought it was a very good site, but it has been having some serious technical issues recently to the point where it is often not usable. So in an effort to continue my recovery effectively, and not leave me vulnerable by going at it alone, I searched for other similar sites and found this one. I am impressed by the comprehensiveness and modern style, and also by the friendly people. I am sure it will all continue to get better. More about myself in a personal journal soon. But that is all for now. Thanks in advance for welcoming me to the site. But before I go, some smilies.\:D/>:D<:D

Were glad your here, RichBlack. You will find a ton of resources to help you along in your quest to be P-free. The people here are friendly, helpful, & determined. They have been a GODSEND for me & my SO. Congrats on the 2 days of being sober, thats a great start. I pray that you continue to keep this sickness out of your life. It will get easier as you continue in your recovery, but it may seem hard at first. If you feel weak , log on here & we will give you our strength to fight the urge of P. Best wishes in your journey to recovery. Again welcome to the family.

Thanks everyone, doing a quick reply post on my lunch break, before heading to library. Not currently employed, but I still call it a lunch break ;)) It actually feels like I am employed at the moment, with the graduate school applications which I am frantically working to finish and send off, studying for the Graduate Record Exam (GRE), and volunteer work on Friday (and soon on Monday too). Gonna have to find something to do in a few weeks when my applications are all done. Anyway, back to the point (lol, I actually have ADD so you guys are going to just have to deal with it 8-}) just teasing. I will do my best to write comprehendible posts, but there will be weird jumps at times. So, back to the point. I am glad to see you, Phoenix and Phil. I just checked NP, and surprise surprise, it is still down. Oh well. I have no doubt the moderators are doing all they can with some serious problems, but I am simply going to have to make this my number 1 resource; my recovery comes first. I will still periodically check NP from time to time, to talk to some of my buddies on there (and also try to contact some of my best buddies if at all possible, to persuade them to jump over here). Anyway. Now that I have written a book (where is the laughing smily). Another post later tonight, but now, to the library.

Glad to have you here. Welcome!!! It's a wonderful thing to post on a site that doesn't judge you, nor do they make you feel weird. Jump around on your posts, do what makes you who you are. That's why its a wonderful thing this life, we're all different, but we all share a common goal, FREEDOM.

You downplay you're "only my second day" but it's still a start. Soon, day 2 will be day 22, and 222 etc. Never downplay yourself please. Everyday is closer to your goal.

Welcome to TTF. I am seeing that we are getting a lot of new people here, because of the other site having problems. Though I am sorry it happened, I am glad that you have found your way to TTF. You will find nothing here but a lot of people to give you all the Respect, Encouragement, and Support that we all need. I am happy to see that you have seen that in your life, there is no more room for Porn being part of it. 2 days sober, that is good. Any day without porn, is a great day. keep up the fight. come here as often as you can to get the needed help.
