First time posting

Hello. This is my first time posting. I am a porn addict and a Christian(struggling). I am the father of two and I am 40 years old. I been into porn since I bought my first magazine after I turned 18. I have tried to quit many times and it has almost cost my marriage. My lust seems to be my "Achellies heel". I 've never had a problem with drugs, alcohol, but porn has me in it's grasp. I have anxiety and depression problems and have tried to get therapy with psychologist, but I seem to keep coming back to the porn. I hope this forum can help me sober up and be the Christian I should be
Today is a new day and I have not done porn today...will try to continue tommorrow.

Hi there!

You're certainly in the right place! TTF has a huge community of people whoa re in the same boat as you-- and also a huge group of significant others. You'll find that once you start looking around, you'll be getting food for thought at every turn-- I know I did, when I first joined.

I'd encourage you to start a journal in the recovery section. It's your very own corner of the site, where you can track your recovery.

Also, if your wife would be interested, she is very welcome to join too!

You have come to a good place, there is no judgement here, only those wishing recovery and helping others along the way.

Have you looked into 12 step groups?

SA Sexahaulics Anonymous and
SAA Sex addicts anonymous

are two I have been involved with. They are comprised of recovering addicts. If you haven't, I would suggest going to a meeting to see if it is for you.
