      Default Hi all

      Hi Iam new
Iam a 42 yr male thats a recovering PA. I was addicted for about 8 yrs and had no clue. Iam married for 20 yrs and my wife holds allot of resentment towards me about it and about the lying about it. I've gone to support groups and that help see the error and helped me stop. I've been clean for about 5 yrs and I want her to forgive this if she can and we can start to reconect I love her deeply. Iam broken hearted over hurting her so bad and loosing her trust

      rj,
Welcome to TTF. I am the SO (wife) of a PA who has been in recovery almost a year now.

It sounds like you have been clean for a while now.

Encourage your wife to seek healing for herself in whatever way she needs. We have a large, supportive group of wives/girl friends/significan others of PAs here. Consider encouraging her to join and read in the Partner's section. She may find that she is not alone in struggling to find healing for herself.

      Find a path to peace,
      ~C~

      Welcome rjust!,

Why not start up your own journal -every thought and opinion and supportive comment can count for our collective journey together.

And as Crisodian mentioned if your SO joins, you make the list and have the benefit of both of you being helped and being able to help in your own ways.

See you around and the Best to you,

      Daniel

after haveing a very emotional day reading and reliving the things I did. I started to look back at my life and I now know how selfish I was with my PA. I never thought it would turn out likethis and I really now know how bad I need to stay clean and that this is a life long addiction like alcohol. I just hope god will grant me the strenght.
