      Default My Story

Brief messages get read – long messages get left! – I will do my best!
Grew up in the 60s and 70s in the new “enlightened era”
Progressed to every “new” form of display
“Expanded” my mind to viewing “progressive” new “acts”
“Expand to “real world” relationships via “flings” and “paid affection”.
(Thankfully NEVER had desires for any deviant behavior.)
Have tried MANY times to get it under control
Have prayed with earnest conviction for deliverance
Believe with all my heart that that is why I am here, I have longed for a place where I could, with the same anonymity that grew my addiction, deliver me from my addiction.
(For the record – tried to write this in the thread box but had nothing but trouble. Could not see a curser, could not check spelling in short seemed to have very little control other then writing)

      Hey Max,
Welcome to the TTF crowd. I was confronted by my wife(Hopeful) back on March 22nd and I finally came clean and since have had some very difficult and tearful conversations and her support is my strongest ally in my recovery. So I agree with Mel that support is key and TTF has some very supportive and insightful members, I'm glad to here another PA has had it with that secret life and is looking for recovery. I also wanted to keep the anonymity between just me and my wife so we looked for books. Every Mans Battle- by Fred Stoeker was very helpful for me in getting my life back! I have been clean since that day in March and I get stronger with every passing day and I feel very good inside.
Max I wish you the best in your recovery and feel that your earnest prayers may have been answered!

      Welcome to TTF Max.

I saw in your note to Hopefuls Rock that you were glad to see an "older" member that you can relate to etc. Finding the same demographic working similar issues is always encouraging and especially in this unique situation.

Other folks who approximate your demographic (from the top of my head..):
Dave, City Fool, Walkman (oldest one we've had to my knowledge), BlueHubby, Mac, and boris. There could be others.

If you go their profiles (as linked), and click on Show All Statistics, you can find a link that will lead you to their posts or threads they've started -a quick way to see what they've had to say on their respective journeys.

Good decision to recognize, come here, and decide to change for the better!
