A hey, hello, and howdy from Sonomette.

Hello,
I am Sonomette (no, not really, but anonymity is a wonderful thing here) and I am the wife of a SA/PA. He's on the site too, and I'll leave it to you to figure out who is is, if you so desire.
I've been married to this man-- who in every other respect is a great guy-- for nearly 8 years, but the PA/SA has been too much for me to bear.
After the last lie, I pulled out a credit card he didn't know I had (I'm not a big shopper, but know that these things are good in case of emergency) and started looking up plane fares. I guess unpleasant surprises work both ways, and it shocked him into actually doing something about his problem.
I'm proud of him for taking action, I am proud of him for finding this site, and for the first time in years, I feel like maybe he's interested in working to deal with his problems rather than simply pay lip service to me to get me off his back.
I have already had the pleasure of meeting a few people here (Hi Jenn!) and feel so relieved to know that I am around people who understand. I think this community will be a good thing for both of us, and may be the first step in saving a marriage that was headed for disaster. For that, all of you should be commended. Thank you for hope. It's a powerful thing.
