      Default Hello

      Hello,

I'm new to this site. I am really impressed with the quality of the site! I am also impressed with the purpose of it. I was a casual P viewer, but I now realize its ability to desensitize, so I do not want to view it anymore. I'm looking forward to discussing this subject with others instead of using the computer for less worthwhile things. I'll be on vacation for the next week, so I won't be able to immediately read any responses or messages.

This site is amazing, it's like a little hidden treasure in the internet world. Maybe when you get back from vacation, you can start a journal and explain your situation. You have a spouse or significant other?

You can easily check if you are a casual P user. Simply decide to stop for a specified period (say 4 weeks). If its easy, you are just a casual user and don't have a major problem. You can decide to stop using and just do it. But if like many you find that it is not so easy, then you may realize its more of a habit than you thought. Worth checking it.

We look forward to your return. I suggest making some lists, one for the negative effects of P, one for the positive effects of P leaving your life, one of those who have been hurt by your PA (friends you did not see, family that came second, an SO who found out, ect), and keep them handy. Those lists are a big help when your motivation is down and you are feeling weak.

Thank you. That is a really good idea. I will start a journal. I never really thought about the subject that way and I'm sure I will learn from keeping a journal.

Thank you. I'm going to start a journal on the advice of Charley22, and I'll try to stop P for the 4 week period as you suggest... stopping P and doing the journal will go good together.. we'll see what happens. Thanks for the suggestions!

I've started my journal, but I'm just keeping it personal and I'm not going to post it. Just thought I'd write that, in case you were looking for it in the journal section.
