      Default Hey everyone

:)OK,I am a 21-year old male who has been watching porn since about I was 13 years old. Well back then I was just a curious teenager and thought masturbating to porn was cool. Then once I finished high school,I would watch porn non-stop everyday(like almost a hour session because of browsing through to the right video!)and I would get off porn. It's not until recently this year that I just want to get away from porn. Yes,I am a virgin(and deaf)but I just believe that the porn is just degrading to women in general and I just want to move on and be such a better person if I get rid of this habit and maybe it will force me to seek out a special person for a relationship. Not that priority now but the priority is to get away from porn and stay real busy. So I just wanted to introduce myself.

      Welcome germanshephedlover,

I would like to commend you for wanting to be free from the ball-and-chain that is P addiction for the pure and simple reason that it's the right thing to do.

Preventing the explosion of unwanted consequences while there is yet time is very smart.

Be ready to considerably change up what you normally do. You will need to experience a whole new set of personal habits day-in-day-out to firmly establish "new normals" in your practical life and in the way your brain works.

This takes incredible patience, endurance, and guts.

But if you really want it then you will have it.

Read the journals of fellow PAs. Look around the site for ideas on reducing the pressure from triggers or what to do when confronted with urges. See the SO's section for they perceive PA.

I would even suggest that to familiarize yourself with as many areas of the TTF site as possible... if you can do that, you will have tons of intellectual (i.e., theoretical) knowledge on how to defeat this monster.

You may then employ the theory with your own actions on a moment-by-moment basis.

      Welcome again,

      Daniel

      Hello and Welcome to TTF.

You have made a very huge step in your life to free yourself from this nasty addiction. I am very happy to see that you have done so. It is a EVERYDAY battle to rid yourself of Porn, but id one is very determined to do so, they can come out a winner in this fight.

I really like what Daniel said, cause it is the only way to defeat this,

Be ready to considerably change up what you normally do. You will need to experience a whole new set of personal habits day-in-day-out to firmly establish "new normals" in your practical life and in the way your brain works.

If you truly want to win this battle, it does mean doing different things with your time. But you will see that the benefits that come with it are very awarding. I really like that a person that is as young as you are, is coming here to get help. Get this trash out of your live now, before it destroys your mind even more. Just take a ONE DAY AT A TIME approach on this Fight. And keep coming here to get the much needed support WE all need to win this addiction

Good Luck to you with your recovery
